  1. That goofy car/boat is all wet. And if he tries to market such a dinghy idea, he'll be awash in a sea of debt, sink his future and eventually be all washed up.
  2. What John said!! Looking good in the neighborhood!
  3. O ... M ... G ... ... well, y'all know the rest.
  4. Does that mean you'll have time for another burger? Hey, man! Sorry to hear you're stepping back as a mod, but fully understand. WHO NEEDS the grief? Glad to have the opportunity to meet you at DSC, Rom, just sorry I was so busy that we didn't have more time to jawbone. But there's next year, right? After all, you're gonna be a "DSC Lifer," right? Stay frosty, stay yourself, and we'll see you on the boards, my friend.
  5. Nice job, G! Hang in there, Johnathan. You'll get 'er done.
  6. Wow! Lanny ... looks great. Can't wait to see it on the tables. You'll be home for Goodguys in November, right? You gonna leave any Hudsons for anybody else? (Hope you're well ... we all miss you!)
  7. Chris, my friend, I don't know quite how to break this to you .... But, once you button it up, dude, no one will see the 'corky' pattern! Incredible job ... but in the end ... invisible! * Wow. Where you gonna get the motor oil in correct scale viscosity?
  8. Nice tips, Dave! Thanks
  9. Shhhhhhhh! Don't bust the bubble, Dan. I've been getting away with that ...
  10. Oh, at least! If I have to 'hit' on it myself 39,900 times to do it. (Not like that's never happened before! ) And build on ... confederate comrades!
  11. Spectacular build, Geoff!! It's beautiful. And, it's not ... wait for it ... it's not ... ... orange!
  12. Kewl. Don't go forgettin' yerself on my account! Earlier nights, dood! And build on ... confederate comrade!
  13. I made my own ... ... with a tiny rubber ponytail band. This was the first experiment ... running out of time for a club contest, I didn't glue or tie-off the bumper ends to make it more like a single bungee cord. But this stuff will do that perfectly and it's far more in-scale than an injection-molded styrene part would be. Craft stores and drug stores are our detailing friends.
  14. Actually, I don't "hate" General Lees ... I just don't have much use for all the overblown BS hyperbole and trivia drivel that seems to flow whenever any orange car with an '01' on its doors turns up. And, I don't even "hate" the overblown BS hyperbole and trivia drivel. I just enjoy illustrating the absurd by employing absurdity. Besides, I am diligently planning to chronicle ad naseum my own "Most Detailed Ever Totally Scratchbuilt General Lee Build To End All General Lee Builds Ever" soon. I'm sure you'll be watching it closely and fawning over every single post! Regarding the trunk pic, that was from a secret source deeply embedded in the General Lee Nation. Okay, I confess: I just googled "General Lee trunk." Now you've got me giving away all my top secrets, sheesh! PS: Don't forget to whack out those roll cage extensions that don't extend into the trunk on the 1:1. Build on, confederate comrade! PPS: What the hey-hockeysticks exactly does 'later days' mean? I got no idea, but I've got money riding on it.
  15. Love it! Can't wait for my own to arrive.
  16. Looking great!
  17. Not quite. But close enough for confederate government work.
  18. Sweeeet!
  19. Liam, Sorry I got to the party late, and my suggestion won't help you this time, but a tip for future situations like this: To fill an area like the frame slots ~ since you didn't have any plastic strip stock available ~ use sprue. After you've removed the parts for your build, cut or clip off the nibs and branches, etc., leaving a straight piece of sprue. Cut it to the length of the slot, then sand it lengthwise to narrow it until it fits into the slot. Cut to length and use a solvent adhesive to "weld" it together. Then just a small amount of filler will finish it off.
  20. Uncle Buddy's car!! Nice job!
  21. Outstanding! Wow.
