The whole point of writing out in longhand the emotion, thought, expression or message that could otherwise be conveyed by posting a simple emoticon is that heavy criticism and resultant rulemaking (I did NOT use the term 'knee-jerk') has erupted due to the posting of said simple emoticons.
So ... whether 'we have that one' or not, it is preferred and even required that said messages or emotions be conveyed via text and verbosity rather than by display of said emoticons, therefore somehow conserving and preserving bandwith.
