  1. Up to him. I don't care. Just making a suggestion. Not like I know what I'm talking about. Much quicker to strip and repaint. Overnight bath in yellow can easy off oven cleaner. Next day prime and repaint. Up to the op.
  2. Love the color. Nice work.
  3. Got the B24 and Duster from my secret Santa on another forum, the B25 from my wife. Plus a friend pre ordered the 63 Nova wagon for me.
  4. Strip and repaint. I paint for a living. I wouldn't mess with trying to fix it. Like mentioned its cause some sort of contamination, usually silicone or some sort of oil. Very rarely does a repair work.
  5. My body went together fine. I corrected the rear cover too. The roof linkages are kinda fiddly. Haven't gotten that far yet.
  6. Didn't know that. Cool.
  7. I love it! Great job.
  8. Thanks David, much appreciated.
  9. ? I have the first issue. One engine.
  10. Actually I was referring to your 59 ford
  11. Wow! I hope mine is half as nice. Doug, what troubles did you have? Mine is going quite well.
  12. No kit, including Tamiya and Hasegawa is THAT simple.
  13. Great pics! I have a couple of ideas for the seat piping. We'll see.
  14. I completely agree. My builds are nowhere near Steve's quality, but I learn and try to improve with each. David, No American kit manufacturer has "rubber" tires, they are all vinyl. Japanese kits offer something more like rubber. The tires in the Revell/Monogram big rig kits are worse than the AMT kits imo. I built this Revellogram Kenworth, a snap kit, and ended up removing most tabs, etc because they were a mismatch, and interfered with proper fit and the tires and rims fit very loosely together. I also built a Polar Light's Bobby Allison 69 Cyclone kit, for a review in Scale Auto that was never published, a kit tooled in the early 2000s, probably the worst kit I have ever built. Nothing fit correctly but it turned out well enough. . Here is a pic of the kenworth. and the Cyclone
  15. Thanks.
  16. Stunning!
  17. That kit has nearly 50 year old tooling. It's not going to have the fit and finish of a brand new tool.
  18. How do you get it?
  19. It will be on the bench the moment I get it in my hands. A 6 cylinder station wagon, right up my alley.
  20. Thanks. Yeah the AH is. Worthy of a new tool but I doubt it'll happen. Really, this old workhorse isn't really that bad a kit.
  21. I just don't get your negativity. Numerous people have already shown much interest and many have already said they're ordered multiples, and you don't get 14 pages on a kit no one is interested in.
  22. A little progress. Basic interior paint.
  23. Yes, February. Got one pre-ordered from tower hobbies thanks to a friend for Christmas. Ordered 2 or 3 for himself.
  24. I know people that have pre ordered multiples of this kit. I don't think it'll be a poor seller.
  25. I built the old amt movin on kit as a teen. Its good enough for me now too.
