COOPER KING COBRA! When Shelby dropped a Ford racing 289 in the back of a Cooper Monaco a star was born! Parnelli Jones, Dave MacDonald, Bob Holbert all had great drives in the USRRC with this car and it lit the flame that became the CanAm series. I would love to get my hands on one of these..... These are very expensive built-ups sold by Midlantic Models in England. ........they fall in the "if you have to ask you can't afford it" price range.....

Great finish! How much of the red is paint? and which paint did you use? Fluorescent red is kinda tough to deal with.....

This clean build is a great example of a nearly forgotten time in drag history. It just captures for me the time and style of rail dragsters as I was becoming aware of the excitement of racing...... Can you supply any details on your build because I'd love to give it a try.

There's a new Mustang in the parking lot at work and I'm in love...... It's all black with Bullitt wheels and I can't help lusting in my heart! Time to crack open a kit and get on it. I understand it sits too high so what's the best way to settle her down? I'm rebuilding my model room and this project now has priority when I set up next week.......

Sweet build with a great paint job! I love those IMSA/LeMans Porsches...

I've been blessed and lucky to meet some good ones...... I get to spend time on a semi-regular basis with great builder and author Bill Coulter, national award winner Randy Derr, Tom Dill who has beautiful darkside NASCAR builds in most stock car museums, Mike Madlinger a wizard with a spray can, and Wayne Moyer the most published model car author in history! I've been able to meet and get to know a bit about Lyle Willits, Bill Geary, Norm Veber and Jim Drew at the NNL (and the COMA dinner). I got a chance to talk to Gregg Hutchings, Bob Downie, Art Anderson and Dean Milano in Chicago. There are more to list and I consider myself fortunate to have met them all. That being said, they are some I haven't met that I would really like to someday; Jackie Cheyenne, Dan Peterson, Tim Ahlborn, Darin Bastedo, and Brian Fowler....I'd like to buy you all a beer!

I had always wanted the 1/12 Airfix Bentley ever since John Steed and Mrs. Peel were tooling around in one.......yeah that goes back a ways.... Now that I've scored one on the 'bay has anyone here built one? Any tips or 'sites to check out would be greatly appreciated! The model bench is packed away for some home improvements so cyber-modeling is the best I can manage right now :cry:

That's the Monogram kit, originally issued in the early to mid '90s. Scale Auto Enthusiast featured it in one of their theme issues back then. It is a very nice kit.....

One of my faves!......Always liked the MGB-GT. There were quite a few in the college parking lots back when I was still a schoolboy....... :wink:
