  1. The kit is kind of a rarity, like the real car. Thanks,i was debating my 2nd kit in the combo you have pictured, but i also like white with blue stripes.?‍♂️ Would love to see you build it!,it's a decent kit,i also have 2 or 3 of the firebird convertible as well i just haven't found a color combo i liked.? Thanks,i was nervous doing it,but luckily the ridge on the wheels made it easy to just flow paint on and it followed the line perfectly. Appreciate the comment..i stiil have a couple more in the stash to build, but not anytime soon.?
  2. Very nice work on the conversion!,but Tamiya kitted the type R in the mid nineties.
  3. Thanks!,glad you like it,if chevrolet would've made them wonder how they would've sold?. Sad to see any car rotting away as they were someones pride and joy at one time.? Appreciate the comment,i'm pretty happy with the build. Trying to find as many pics on goggle as i can really makes detailing alot easier, thanks for the comment. Thanks,i'm a camaro fan since little so i seem to always want to build a Chevrolet. I've seen quite a few people build the amt 70'Monte Carlo as a convertible, looks good. Slusher, thanks for the comment/support.? ?,thanks for the kind words!.
  4. Appreciate it,it's a decent snap kit with a little effort it can look pretty good.
  5. Thanks, the box art wheels/tires looked pretty sad, google has some many good photos detailing is much easier to do.
  6. Todays arrivals, got a 3d printed Chrysler 300,little warpage in the front but fixable i'm sure. No engine or exhaust included. Some wheels for Fujimi's GTO Some much needed tire valves also.

  8. Excellent job on that phantom!! Great idea using the revell kit instead of using the Round2 kit, would love to see some photos. Thanks, green and tan seem to always flow together.
  9. Finished last friday, but had to wait for better weather to take pics, old Shawn Carpenter resin body combined with revells 65'Z16 Malibu.

  11. Wrapped up a couple days ago, color is Dark Brown metallic, decals from the reissued 81'coupe,wheels from the 86'Monte Carlo SS and tires from the parts box with Shabo dry tranfers added.I also changed the exhaust tips,i didn't like how they hung straight down.

Great color choice!, are the white wall tires from another kit?,i don't remember seeing them in my kit.
  14. Nicely built.?
  15. Nice work so far!,what are you using to drill out the door handles?.
  16. Okay back with some updates:i painted the wheels the same color as the body and used testors silver for the outer area.I sanded down the lettering on the polyglas tires and used an old Shabo dry transfer sheet for the lettering, then applied a coat of Satin varnish to seal the decals. The kit comes with smoked glass, which i didn't want to use so i grabbed the glass from the coupe and airbrushed some Tamiya clear blue on the windshield. I used the headlights from the 69'Z28 and the marker lights were made from some clear sprue i painted clear orange and then added cigarette foil for the backing. Trim is all added and engine compartment painted. These are the resin casted taillights painted, still need to do some touchups on them, and then final assembly can begin.
  17. Okay probably my last update:rear bumper installed.? Front grille installed, painting the front emblem was a real pita!!.? Bottom trim installed,i did have to cut it down a little to fit, doglegs installed in the interior too.? Engine bay complete added windshield wipers too.? I used P/E for the lettering on the hood, front bumper ready to be installed and modified aircleaner ready to be installed as well.?
  18. Thanks,i've had this resin body sitting for years and it was time to do something with it.
  19. I live in Western Canada and my local Hobbyshop posted a similar notice yesterday, luckily i have an airbrush so i can still buy bottled paint, but for people who don't airbrush this is going to be tough on them.?
  20. Thanks!,it's been fun at times and frustrating. I appreciate the comment, hoping to wrap it up this weekend.
  21. No i have them i just hadn't installed them when i took the pictures.?
  22. I agree i wanted to avoid a black interior,to many of my builds have one.? I appreciate your enthusiasm!?i'm looking forward to seeing it completed. Sounds like a plan!!?MCW makes great paint. Thanks i make sure to scribe all panel lines especially around windows and wheel wells it helps the BMF stick better.
  23. Okay, i have a small update decals applied and body clearcoated, next is to mask off the body to paint the trim.
