  1. Very nice work! Did you do the wood in the pickup yourself?
  2. Here is my version of the '57 Ford Gasser. It's painted in Testors Bronze Lacquer and Testors one coat clear. I had two problems with it. One was the model itself, in that when I put the body on the chassis, the rear wheels hit the quarter panels. I had to completely remove the rear suspension and move it back about a 1/4" to allow enough room for the wheels to sit in the center of the wheel opening. The kit comes with two rears to allow it to be built stock or gasser. It drove me nuts because I thought I used the wrong one but it was the correct one that didn't fit properly. The second problem was that this was my first attempt at using BMF, and the results reflect the hard time I had with it. The next time I figure I need about one new blade per inch to cut it without tearing the foil. Other than that, it went together well and I had fun building it.
  3. I grew up loving Stevie Wonder AND Johnny Cash and for a long time as a kid I just assumed everybody did. I'm a classic rock guy, mostly on the light side. The only band outside that comfort zone that I ventured into is Red Hot Chili Peppers ?
  4. Some really good stuff! Nice weathering.
  5. Nice job Jim!!! There is nothing better you could do for yourself. I quit 24 years ago after smoking for about 8 years and the smell now makes feel ill. Even the smell coming off someone who smokes doesn't make feel good.

    Cool ?
  7. Yeah...well I guess it was a pretty good year! All are works of art, just that beautiful. Is that lacquer that you use for those amazing results or something else? What company do you usually use? I'm mostly getting nice results with lacquer, and mostly problems with everything else so far, so I'm trying to find my way through the paint maze.
  8. Nice work all the way around!
  9. I love the red, and the red...and the red. Even the center hubs are red. What a car for a guy called Red. And it's from my birth year to boot. Amazing build!
  10. Same here. But I'm really anxious to get started on this.
  11. Consider the slump busted. Hope you keep up the momentum.
  12. Congratulations! Your first airbrush attempt looks good. You did a nice job.?
  13. Welcome to the club Boris! I think you'll find the answers to all the modeling questions you could have right here.
  14. I think if I make a little improvement from one model to the next, even if it's a tiny improvement, I'm doing ok. This is a good build, I look forward to your next.
  15. I feel like I'm always echoing your replies David, but you're usually spot on! The reflection underneath the Olds is an amazing effect. A lot of builders here make good color choices and yours are no exception. Oh, and you have a Happy New Year too!
  16. Like 'em all! Not a bad year. '60 Chevy is a cool looking car with a very cool color and paint job.
  17. My first impression too. Good job! ?
  18. Very cool! ?
  19. I was thinking it, thanks for writing it!
  20. It's a nice color. I like the body line on the quarter panel over the wheel on these. The wheels are a nice touch and complete the car.
  21. I don't understand the freewheeling thing. I would prefer they not roll. What are you going to do, push it across the floor?
  22. Love the color, dash detail is beautiful and engine looks good. You got yourself a nice looking model in the works.
  23. Nice engine and interior work. Truck looks good. How did you texture the seats?
  24. Chop is cool and the color is great. Good job!
  25. Daring color combo. I never would have thought they'd go together so well. Good one!
