  1. That sounds like a solid plan!
  2. Thanks guys! The decals look great! I wonder how well the white will cover the orange paint.
  3. Waiting patiently for mine to be delivered, has anyone started it yet? Any warpage like the previous kits? What do the decals look like? Sorry I'm being needy....
  4. Looks nice Mike, stance is right on the money!
  5. Love me some Darts, You have my attention!
  6. My intent for this post was to try and look for intake to resemble an "Indy Cylinder Hi-rise" for the Revell 440 Dart motor. I'm not sure where Ron got his measurements from, I really never asked, I just saw that he had one on his site, and inquired about it. When I spoke with him he said he wasn't making any custom parts, but he had one in 1/25 scale. I really assumed it was based on the Revell Mr. Norm's Dart, in hindsight I should have asked what it was designed for. If your willing to try and make one to fit this, I will certainly supply you with a whole motor for measurements to ensure a perfect fit. Your work is equally impressive, and would open up a whole new avenue for us Mopar fans.
  7. Looks awesome! does it need to be wider to fit the block correctly? maybe lengthen the runners?
  8. Defiantly appreciate the update Dave! Any chance of an update on the possibility of the California Flash??
  9. Nice! lets have a look at that thing! I've been so busy lately I haven't had a chance to get mine ordered.
  10. Frank, Happy to help Frank! not much out there in the aftermarket world in terms of performance parts for the B/RB block in 1/25 sale. Now we just need some fender well headers, and some Indy Cylinder valve covers! Chris
  11. I spoke with Ron today via email, and amazingly enough, he has one dead on with what I'm looking for. here's the link to it. https://www.shapeways.com/product/DYA97J5KS/440block-4bb-single-intake-1-25 it also comes with a windage tray cover. It is a little expensive but its 3D printed. Frank I'd love to see what you come up with when your done modifying it.
  12. Great website! apparently he makes one in 1/16 scale. I will contact him and see if its possible for 1/25. Thank you for the heads up.
  13. Does anyone make a resin high rise single plane intake (Indy Cylinder style) for B/RB Mopar? I can't find anything even remotely close.
  14. Thanks for the heads-up! I plan on using that same scoop on mine when I finish my current project.
  15. Thanks Rick! the paint I used was some pre-thinned stuff I bought from slixx many years ago called "Blue Blood." I actually bought it for the Reher Morrison pro stock. Its very close to Tamiya TS-49, just a bit darker. Thanks for the additional pictures GTX, I've never seen the car in just red. I plan to do the red and gold car, with chrome reverse wheels.
  16. Looking good Mike! any issues with the hood scoop fitment from the Cornet?
  17. Quick update, Got the first two coats of red on the body and interior. Its not Roman Red but its close, the florescent light makes it look lighter than what it really is. Will wet sand this tomorrow and apply one more coat of red, then paint the inner fender wells semi gloss black. Decided to stay with the original motor due to exhaust fitment. The kit is coming along nicely but the flash is annoying, has anyone noticed this? The new Torq Thrust wheels in this kit are awesomely done, but they not correct for the building the super stock version according to the pictures. more to follow....
  18. Turned out really nice!
  19. Thanks guys! Roman Red it is then. I hope to post progress soon, cleaning all the flash on this kit is time consuming. I don't remember it being that bad with the Proffitt and Strickler models. I'm looking at the engine and wondering if the Revell 62 Impala's engine might be a better choice. Side by side they are almost identical, and the Revell has better detail.
  20. Thanks guys! feeling the love already!
  21. OK, I've chosen the Northwind Super Stock to jump back into the hobby. Its a familiar kit should be a smooth build. Does anyone know if the body color is red or a candy red? The box makes it appear to be some shade of candy color, yet the only pictures I can find seem to be a gloss red. I apologize if this topic has already brought up, I just couldn't find anything.
  22. Hello all! Been building for years and finally decided to make an account! Hope I can contribute to some of the conversations and help where I can. Looks like its going to be a good year for modeling! regards, Chris
