  1. Great to see you back AJ! Thanks all for the kind comments.
  2. Welcome aboard Dirk! You did a great job on the engine, the paint is good, and I like the way you tucked the big tires in the back. Did you modify the radius of the rear wheel openings on the quarter panels?
  3. That is sweet Andy! I love the stance!
  4. Wow, that is an awesome Vicky, Lyle! I love the hinged hood!
  5. Thanks for the nice comments, gentlemen. Bernard, I still can't figure out how I didn't screw it up, but the wheels are poseable. George, after a long exhaustive search, I finally realized that Model Master Pacific Blue is a near perfect match for the engine color. I airbrushed it on and then hit it with semi-gloss clear. Also, the caps for the battery are painted with Model Master Russian interior green (its the color they use to paint the interior of Russian jets). When we bought the house three years ago and I was finally able to have my work area, I went a little nuts and ordered at least one bottle of every paint in the Model Master line (man, did I get in trouble with the wife for that!) Now, I just have to search through them all, and I'll almost always find a match for whatever color I'm looking for!
  6. Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. The '66 Goat is actually a curbside. I had masked off the trim to paint alclad chrome on it, and when I lifted the tape, some adhesive was stuck to the paint. I used Googone to try to wipe it off, and it burnt the clearcoat, leaving a big stain on the driver's side...I gave up on it and finished it without an engine. The 65 Z-16's tires are a bit of a disappointment to me...I tried to use shabo dry transfers for the yellow lines, but I could not, for the life of me, get them to work, so I used the compass and acrylic paint method. What you see there is the best job I could do with my giant sausage fingers George: The '66 wagon is Testor's Model Master Boyd's Ice Blue Pearl. I have some older bottles of this paint that are more blue; my newer bottles of it have a greenish tint to it that makes it look more like Grecian Green. Ledsled Merc: the stance is actually unmodified from the kit...I used the tires that came with the Revell '65 Impala SS along with some resin steelies and dog dish caps. When I do this one again, its going to have a 327, and I'm going to use the stock hubcaps that come with the '66 ElCamino.
  7. Awesome work Jason! Wasn't the owner of Barrett Jackson the guy who bought one of the real ones a couple of years ago?
  8. I finally got a tripod, remote and I built a photo booth out of foam board....so now I can post some pics of my "four foot" (they only look good from four feet away!) models. Enjoy.
  9. This is Revell's new one. The paint is Testor's Metallic Bronze. Pretty much OOB, except for some wiring:
  10. My mom is THE most Irish Catholic woman on the planet. I'm 35 years old, married, and own my own house, and I'm still not allowed to curse IN MY OWN HOME (or else I get smacked). My father is a Permanent Deacon in the Catholic Church, and even HE isn't as devout as she is! She really is a good person though, and I love her with all my heart. I really lucked out in the parents department.
  11. Cruz, I had a feeling this one would be amazing, and you didn't disappoint! Awesome job!
  12. Don't sweat it Len. If anyone wants to give ya the stinkeye over something so trivial, please use your rights as a rational card carrying member of the human race and invite them to get a life.
  13. I will name this engine.....Patrick. :rimshot: Thanks folks, I'm here all week, tip your waitress and try the veal....and remember, the 9:00 show is much different than the 7:00 show!
  14. Nice work on the Mustang so far!
  15. Sweet idea! Thanks!
