Just a word of caution: Invisible tape is usually stronger than masking tape. I used it once years ago and when I removed it, it lifted the paint below. You have to be very careful taking it out. Thanks,

Started working on the interior. The Motorola radio is as important as the engine Communications, telemetry etc. Braided Radio Frequency cable. Eectrical lines to an electronic box, electronics wiring out Machined cooler can top and aluminum handle. I thought about leaving that bright and shiny but accuracy won over and it is now correct flat white. The can was blue in the #4 car. Central tunnel is gunmetal. This is only the begining..... it's gonna get busy.... Thanks,

Hello, The primer/clear coat war may heat up. I just saw today at the local Advanced Auto Parts a can of Duplicolor lacquer primer, ready for spray. This is part of their Paint Shop line of LACQUERS. The have primer, several colors and clear in 1 qt containers. They were about $21. Did I mention they are lacquer? This is something I'd like to try eventually..... A qt is a lot so a bunch of people can get together and split it.... Other than primer and clear I saw Chrome yellow, Deep blue, Hugger orange, Performance red and Brillian silver. Interesting.... I use Milliput 2 part putty. There are 2 versions: regular which is gray and fine grain which is white. I use the fine grain. It sands beautifully and feathers (blends) great with plastic. You can get it at Micromark.com It is a 2 part epoxy so it doesn't shrink. Other alternatives are 2 part putties for automotive use. Generally, two part putties do not shrink because they do not evaporate solvents for drying. Hope this helps. Thanks,

Hans, The Heller/Union/Protar kit has an engine that can be kitbashed. The Fujimi body would have to be cut open. There is a top notch resin caster working on a transkit for this Fujimi release. I talked to him about a month or so. There is no word yet on when it will be available. Judging from his work, it will be awesome..... Thanks,

Thanks Jon, I'll check on that... Sanded the molded belts away. Added some talcum powder to the wet paint and painted again for some texture. Once dry, a light sanding will even it out. The 6 point harness will cover most of it anyways. Thanks,

I agree. That has to be one of the top reasons for loving Plastikote. I did some sanding with as 2400 pad. They both felt similar, maybe a hair harder on the Nason, but too close to call. I guess a better sanding test would have to be a larger surface like a complete body or at least a hood. I'll see if I can do something this week. Thanks,
