Jon, I like following up your projects and appreciate to see a lot of "behind the scenes" work you go thru. Those seats are masterpieces. Have you considered having them casted in resin? I know a couple good and reputable resin casters that would be willing to make copies of your seats in resin. I for one would be interested in a few sets. You are correct it is for 1/25 cars. If an engine is the size of a 1/25 car it would be something like 1/4 or 1/6 scale. Thanks,

Thanks! I'm not sure yet on wheels and tires. I have a few choices I need to look at. I want it to be elegant yet sporty and agressive at the same time. As for the color, this is not 40th anniversary Ruby red, but rather 2003 50th anniversary red. They look similar but Ruby is metallic while this one should be tricoat pearl and just a hint darker. All but the most sophisticated (and expensive) flash units are worthless in these conditions. My big flash unit was hopeless at this zoom setting and shutter speeds. You can see in the 4th picture my flash only got to the concrete barrier. But people were shooting flashes everywhere so I guess the drivers are ok with it. We were about 40-50 feet from the track itself. Thanks,

The Comprex supercharger is some type of a hybrid between a supercharger and a turbo. It is belt driven for bias, but exhaust drives most of the compression duties. It is a rather complex system to explain. Think of it as a zero lag turbo. But, to further confuse you: Here is the Abstract of the Comprex Supercharger patent: United States Patent 4563997 Abstract: A "comprex" supercharger, which has a rotor formed along its whole periphery with a plurality of axial cells wherein air introduced into the cells for supply to an internal combustion engine is compressed by engine exhaust gas introduced into the cells, is controlled by a control system such that a drive means for the rotor is controlled by an electronic control unit in response to output from engine operating condition sensors to control the rotational speed of the rotor so as to achieve optimum supercharging pressure to operating conditions of the engine. Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but.... Low light is always a challenge to photographers. Fast action is another challenge. Combine both and you have quite a challenge for a photographer. The best race car is worthless without a good griver. So is photo equipment. Here are some night time pictures I took at the Petit LeMans race. This was my first time with the new camera, so hopefully if I can make it next year I'll have even more experience with it. Thanks,

Gray, You are on the right path. Turbocharging is far more common, but back in 1953 a twin supercharged V-12 Ferrari engine was used to power a record breaking BOAT! The engine had the 2 blowers at the back and a 4 choke Weber fed each one. Here are some pictures But even better: Here is a link to a 1/8 model of the engine. Hello, After more than 3 weeks I was FINALLY able to get some workbench time this morning. I even forgot what I was working on I wet sanded with 4000 the first color coats on the Caddy and airbrushed all color coats of Corvette Anniversary red LACQUER . Still pending clear and polishing and all that but the color coats are done. Thanks,

Most likely it is. The kit has around 40 parts, including plastic axles. I am by no means an expert but the other 308 kits I know of are the Revell Magnum which is not the best, Gunze and the Testor's which I believe is related to the Gunze and has opening doors. There is a japanese motorized kit in 1/24 as well with working headlights. Nitto also had one but in 1/28 scale. Thanks,

Thanks James! That's a special and expensive kit that has hundreds of parts and....... NAHHHH..... That's the old Monogram kit. Very simple and very few parts, less that 40. Hello, Model Masters has a few military colors that may help. I used Model Master Interior Tan for this car: ..and I don't remember for sure but this one is either radome tan or a mix of radome tan and interior tan. It is a bit lighter than what you are showing, but there is also a color called Cammo Sand or something like that. Radome tan is even lighter than Interior tan but can be used to lighten up a darker shade. Good luck! Thanks,

:D What do you mean by "other cars" Actually yes. From the 815 pictures only about 800 were from the Corvettes I have plenty of pictures of the Ferrari corral, Porsches, Lambos, Lotus, LMP1 and LMP2 racers, GT2 racers, the Speed challenge GT cars etc. I'll eventually post some them as well.
