  1. ALSO, because of Moebius' proven track record, this could be the first of a whole series of 1942, '46, '47, and '48 Chevrolet cars.. Aerosedans, coupes, convertibles, even a 4-door knowin them! How killer would an Indy Pace Car version of a '48 be?? I only know two things about this announcement - 1 - Whatever Moebius has in mind for these, it's gonna be cool! 2 - Just like with the Hudsons, Chryslers, Pontiacs, Dodges, Plymouths, and Ford pickups, I'll be buying and building every '46-48 Chevrolet that they release!
  2. Me too dude, me too! I had a derelict, but perfectly drivable '48 Pontiac 4-door sedan for a while in 1999 that I picked up for a few hundred bucks in a Dennys parking lot randomly one weekend.. Always wanted to make a model of it somehow.. If there is ANYBODY that can make a '46-48 Pontiac kit happen, as well as the stones to do it, it's Moebius!
  3. Oh man, NO WAY! I gotta grab a few of these things up!
  4. Uhh, but, the 1954 Skylark was the pinnacle of Buickdom though, indeed!
  5. Man, I love crawler tractors, this thing is so cool!
  6. Yeggi is basically just a search engine specifically for 3D models.. Everything on that site is just search term hits from other sites.. Any model you click on will redirect you to a much better site.. Yeggi is trash more or less..
  7. What I'm interested in tradin for Lindberg '53 Ford Indy Pace Car, AMT '56 Ford Crown Victoria, AMT '57 Ford Fairlane 500, Revell '57 Ford 300, Del Rio, Fireball Roberts race car, & police car, Monogram '59 Ford Galaxie Skyliner, Monogram '78, '79, '93, '94, & '95 Indy Pace Cars, Monogram '82, '84, '96 Corvettes, Monogram '82, '83, & '85 Trans Ams.. ya know, stuff like that.. PM me if yer interested in this unique project up for trade! Thanks! Later -
  8. '64 Eldorado Biarritz conversion, project, corrected convertible windshield frame, correct rear wheel wells, upgraded engine compartment, chassis & running gear from Monogram '59 Cadillac, headlights drilled and backing plates installed for seperate clear headlights, pad-printed tires with correct size whitewall, foil-cast molds and casted parts for emblems, has all parts to complete with the exception of wheel covers, as it only has 1, lots more details, site won't upload my post if I write em all! Next post is a general idea of what kind of stuff I'm interested in..
  9. Cool thread OP! Also, I happened across several more Tri-Five pics in my file collection.. This really, really is the last of my pics! '56 Bel Air - I really dig this color combination.. My next '56 kit build, a Del Ray, will be painted like this.. '57 Bel Air Convertible Those silver an yellow seats are wild! '57 Bel Air 4-door sedan - THIS ^^^^^ car is NEARLY identical to the one my dad owns, save for 3 things : my dads is a V8, 283 4bbl/Overdrive, it has accessory front bumper guards, and it has accessory spinner wheel covers.. At the inaugural Tri-Five Nationals, he scored a set of incredibly rare Vermont-only rear bumper guards.. NOS parts too! Car is pretty far from being from Vermont, but those rear bumper guards are very cool because they each have a license plate light in em, as Vermont required TWO license plate lights at the time, instead of the industry standard single light mounted above the rear license plate, the ONLY state to do so in '57.. Anyway, I had a few more pics of rust buckets too.. '56 Bel Air convertible, looks like it was originally solid white.. '56 Bel Air convertible that looks like it was originally light blue an white.. '57 210 4-door sedan same color as my dads car.. '57 Bel Air sport sedan.. '57 Bel Air convertible, same colors as the restored one I posted.. '57 Nomad being eaten by Kudzu.. These last two cars were from that Lambrecht Chevrolet auction, they were IDENTICAL Colonial Cream an India Ivory '57 210 4-door sedans with V8s, and both of them had less than 5 original miles on them, one was stored indoors, the other stored outdoors.. The indoor car, had, I think, 1.7 miles on the odometer.. The outdoor car, had something like 3 and 1/2 or 4 miles on the odometer, and somehow, seems to have fared better than the other one, in spite of being parked in the grass for 60 years.. That auction was crazy, and I doubt we'll ever see the like of it again!
  10. Cool cars! What are those wheel covers on the black one off of?
  11. Yes.. And I mean just about ANY Dodge pickup truck body style! '48-53 B-Series would be sweet, '54-60 C-Series would be preferable, even the most likely to be kitted D-Series would be OK too.. Anything, ANYTHING besides another whole kit series dedicated to either FoMoCo or GM! THAT SAID, I'll be buying this new '69 Ford ramp truck kit.. And, should there be additional kits in this Ford series showing up in the future, OR, should they begin to release a series of '67-72 Chevys, or please God, '73-87 Chevys, I'll be buying them too.. If it says MOEBIUS on the box :
  12. Excellent build, great car! That Toomanyprojects has some really, really cool stuff available..
  13. I found a few more Tri-Five pics in my digital stash, they're the last of em.. All scans from old Kodachrome slides.. My dad has a '57 Bel Air 4-door that his dad bought new, it's Colonial Cream & India Ivory, which is likely why I saved these scans - Looks like a brand new '57 210 2-door sedan with 1957 Michigan plates.. '57 Bel Air sport sedan, the best looking '57 Chevy body style, in my opinion.. '57 Bel Air convertible on the sand at Daytona.. '55 sedan delivery Pepsi truck! How COOL is that??
  14. MCW Finishes lists a complete resin OHC 6 for $10 bones on their website, looks like it's from the AMT '69 Firebird kit..
  15. Lately, I've been looking into all of the techniques and whatnot that goes into making rust buckets.. I've always wanted to build a few cool junkyard cars.. Some of the junkyard reference pics I saved happened to be some pretty rare, and forlorn Tri-Fives.. Maybe one of these will make one of you guys build a heap too.. '55 Bel Air convertible, looks to be a well optioned car.. '56 Bel Air 4-door sedan, amazing how well that paint job has held up! '56 Bel Air convertible, been sitting there for a really long time.. '56 Bel Air convertible.. '57 150 4-door sedan, old U.S. Army fleet car, how cool is that? '57 Bel Air convertible, yes, really! This picture is recent, hard to believe that nobody snapped this one up in the 50 or so years that it's been sitting there! '57 Bel Air convertible, same goes for this one! And that's the extent of my '55-6-7 stuff..
  16. Not too sure how much this one still counts, but it IS a '55 Bel Air.. The Aztec is one of the greatest kustom cars to ever roll out of the Barris shop.. Sam Barris really was a genius..
  17. Yo, I've got some, mostly vintage, photos of '55, '56, an '57 Chevrolets in my files, maybe yall will draw some inspiration for a future build like I did! '55 Bel Air, one of the nicer looking Pace Cars.. '56 Bel Air sport sedan cut-away display at an annual auto show somewhere, wouldn't this make for a cool build?? '57 150, I think this is a dealership postcard, the colors on this one are just right.. '57 150 Ohio State Highway Patrol car, can't believe how long we've had the same OSP door logo! Rad '57 Bel Air sport sedan billboard, this is a scan of an old Kodachrome slide.. '57 210 4-door sedan modified stock car, how cool is that?
  18. Yo, what's up! So, a really cool dude I recently did some tradin with, very generously included a very cool, but pretty forlorn Jo-Han '68 Imperial Crown Coupe promo body in with some other cars.. THANKS DUDE! It is JUST the body though.. And was battered and broken.. Well, I been doing the necessary repairs on it, and it's starting to shape up.. My ultimate goal is to make a replica of this 1-owner, low-mile beauty we used to own back in the middle 1990s : RIGHT, so, i would like to get any or all of the following parts, and I'm not picky, I'll be happy to get anything I can for it in any condition : -> Front bumper/grille -> Rear bumper/taillamps -> Rear bumper ends -> Stock wheel cover, at least x1 of em -> Interior tub -> Dashboard -> Steering wheel/column I'd get hold of a promo chassis if someone has one, but I can also make one out of another MoPar kit, glass if there's some out there, but I can make that too if need be, tires aren't an issue, nor are wheel backs, axles, etc.. These parts are 1968 only! I'll be happy with anything I can get, be it original annual '68 promo parts, X/EL parts, or even resin replacement pieces, and condition really doesn't matter.. If it's nice, that's great! If it's broken, or has shoddy plating, or whatever, no problemo, I can fix it! PM me if any of yall have anything! I'll trade ya somethin good! THANKS A BUNCH! Later -
  19. PLEASE DELETE THIS POST, THANK YOU!
  20. Final Update : Corvette has been parted out, and the rest has been traded! Thanks dudes! I'll have more stuff on here up for trades after the first of the year!
  21. Update One : For whatever reason, I can no longer edit the post to remove stuff that has been traded, idk w+f? Update Two : The Chevy van has been traded! Thanks, I appreciate it dude! Pickins are gettin slim! Still have the Hemi, the two pairs of slicks, the '53 'Vette, and the '93 Firebird available! ONE car gets all of em, and I'll even throw in some extra wheel sets and stuff too! ONE of these will do -> Monogram '69 GTO Judge, AMT '69 Trans Am, AMT '79 Trans Am 10th Anniversary, AMT Ford Explorer Snap kit, Monogram '82, '84, '85, or '88 Corvette Snap Tite, AMT Dodge Stealth, Revell PT Cruiser Snap Tite, Revell 2000s Ford Thunderbird Snap Tite, or Revell Chevy SSR pickup Snap Tite.. Send me a PM! THANKS!
  22. Yo, what's up! ...One of the things that sometimes comes along with the acquisition of a cool vintage kit, in this case, a Monogram 1993 Chevrolet Corvette 40th Anniversary... ...Decals which are F.U.B.A.R.! ...SO, I would love to be able to acquire a good, usable replacement decal sheet if at all possible... Barring that, if anybody has a nice sheet that can be scanned and/or photographed very well so that I could then have STS or whomever print me up a copy or two.. Well, that'd be swell! Anyway, I'll trade ya somethin for either yer decals or yer time/effort comin up with a good scan of em! THANK YOU!
  23. Well, Round2 has done it again! There will be a pair of '72 Dusters, a pair of '60 Nomads, and I'm guessing at least a quartet of '64 1/2 Barracudas heading my way when they get released! In my opinion, Round2 is light years ahead of everyone else in the game.. Keep up the good works!
  24. Yeah, it is.. What's left to trade is pictured in this post.. PM me if yer interested in trading! Thanks!
  25. Update : Chevelles have been traded! Thanks dude! 1 of the following will get everything that is left : Monogram '69 GTO Judge, AMT '69 Trans Am, AMT '79 Trans Am 10th Anniversary, AMT '89 Trans Am GTA, or most any other AMT, MPC, Revell or Monogram '77-88 Firebird or Trans Am Thanks!
