Holy smokes, that thing is the t-ts! I'll take 2! And if speculation is correct, and by the look of the rear interior panels which *look* like convertible style ones, maybe there'll be a proper convertible in the future? Then I could finally be able to build a model of my 1:1.. Good, good stuff.. -

Nope, only heard the stories.. The REAL E. Scheib was before my time.. I earned that moniker via doing high quality paint and body works for the last couple decades, go figure lol Around here we DID have Maaco tho, Scheibs spiritual successors whom would respray your car in any color for $149.95 and they sprayed everything including trim, weather stripping, bugs, dirt, tires, and lenses.. I'll give em this at least, their paint works were unbelievably shiny! -

Why the odd shape? "Chrysler in the 1950s" is usually my go to blanket statement.. I do know that these ones were only used in the Imperial and Chrysler 300 B without Air Conditioning.. Here's a couple '56 300 B pics where you can see it.. This next one is from an all original car and is kinda worn, but you can see that, at one time, the speaker frame was tan.. And here's a '56 Imperial Newport.. And one more '56 Imperial.. Oh, and uh, I almost forgot.. -

It's the rear speaker grille and frame. Grille would be black, and frame would be the same color as the package tray, so in a 300 B, it'd be tan.. -

Yup, I remember that DeSoto Seville build you did, it turned out real sweet.. Inspired me to try an hunt down a Jo-Han '55 DeS 4-dr promo to do a build of the crusty $800 driver I bought in 2000 just before getting out of H.S., but, still ain't found the kit yet.. As for this 300 yer doin, may as well open the other door, and the trunk too at this point lol.. -
That '64 Chrysler turned out great!

Oh man, I have several of these kits, both the '55 and '56 versions, and I love em to death. Probably my favorite kits ever after the AMT '57 300 C.. That being said, you're spot on in saying how great it would be for Moebius to tool these up as DeSoto Fireflites and Adventurers.. They should turn the '55 into a..'55 DeSoto..which would be pretty cool.. But changing the '56 into a pair of..'56 DeSotos, a convertible Fireflite to FINALLY have a kit of the '56 Indy 500 Pace Car, and a hardtop Adventurer.. A hardtop Adventurer was the 1956 Pikes Peak Hillclimb official Pace Car, so Moebius could decal one up and have even a third version too.. I'd buy and build at least two of each.. Also, each their Hudson kits are top shelf.. Anyhow dude, yer doing awesome work on yer build here, A-1 stuff in my opinion, can't wait to see what's next.. -

I'd like to have one of these -
I'm in need of convertible up-tops for an AMT 1959 Imperial and an AMT 1970 Challenger.. Does anybody make these?

Well, here goes : 1934 Chrysler or DeSoto Airflow 1938 Phantom Corsair 1942 DeSoto Fifth Avenue Cvt. 1948 Tucker Torpedo 1949 Buick Roadmaster Cvt. 1953 GM halo cars - Buick Skylark, Cadillac Eldorado, and Oldsmobile 98 Fiesta 1954 Buick Skylark 1956 Plymouth Fury 1955-56 Packard 400, Caribbean, Clipper, or Executive 1956-57 Lincoln Continental Mark II Basically any of the 1950s halo cars from any manufacturer would be killer to have.. Somebody in the thread said they'd like some concept cars, which I will second.. All them Golden Era dream cars? There's the 1940 Chrysler Newport and the 1941 Thunderbolt, then a whole list of beauties that ChryCo and Ghia built. Man alive, who doesn't want GM Motorama kit of a 1954 Pontiac Bonneville Special? Even FoMoCo had a neat one, the 1956 Mercury XM Turnpike Cruiser, also built by Ghia.. There's a ton of Golden Age custom cars that'd be way cool to have kits of too.. OH, and trucks too! 1948-54 Studebaker 2R/3R Series, or 1955-60 E-Series pickup kit would be a crowd favorite.. And Dodge pickups for heavens sake! 1948-53 Dodge B-Series, 1954-60 C-Series, or 1961-65 D-Series truck kit would fly off the shelves.. Moebius changed the game with the 1951-54 Hudson kit lineup, I have them all. How cool would it be if they either modified the tooling or added to it and released a 1948-50 Hudson Commodore kit? Moebius really raised the bar with the 1955-56 Chrysler 300 kits, I have them all too. Wouldn't it be sweet if they did a 1960-61 Chrysler 300 in the same manner? Or if Round2 modified their 1957 Chrysler 300 C tooling into a 1957-58 New Yorker or Saratoga, or better still, a 1957-58 DeSoto Fireflite or Adventurer? Or maybe change and improve on their 1958 Plymouth Belvedere a bit and turn it into a proper Fury, better still, backdate it to a 1957 Fury or Belvedere? I tell ya fellas, I'd buy for sure two of each of any/all of the above listed if they were available in kit form.. Infinitely more interesting than any '32 Ford, '55-6-7 Chevy, Mustang, Camaro, Charger, Challenger, Nova, etc. etc. At least there's the 1964 Cutlass though, and the prospect of the 1955 Powell, 1968 Coronet, 1965 and 1968 GTOs, and the Black Beauty Imperial to look forward too!

Well, that's cooler than the other side of the pillow! I'll be needing one of these for sure.. -
That Jeep truck is killer!

I too have the four '69-'72 Ford trucks issued so far, I'll be getting the 4x4 too, and of course the way cool '65-'66 trucks whenever they're released. This is good, as that tooling could and probably will be done as a '64 as well I'd guess, AND of course all kinds of room in the future for multiple body styles. Rounding out the bump side trucks with the addition of the '67-'68 model years is a thing that definitely needs to happen too, IMO. I also have the four amazing stock Hudson kits, both of the stock '55 and '56 Chrysler 300's, the stock '65 Belvedere 1, and the '65 Satellite. I'll be getting that '61 Pontiac at some point too. This is truly the Renaissance age for model kits, and I personally dig the Moebius offerings over pretty much all the others. These are great days we're living bros! It would be most welcome to see further tooling of those Hudson kits, backdated, to say a '50 Commodore convertible and a '48 Commodore 8 coupe (for myself at least, I'd replicate the ones me and mine had back in the 90's), and even a slick '49 4-dr sedan, why not? The '55-'56 Chrysler kits have great re-tooling possibilities as many others have stated. With ample but worthwhile work, you could do '55-'56 DeSoto Fireflites, '56 Adventurer, '56 Indy 500 pace car, '55-'56 New Yorkers, and '55-'56 Imperials (PLEASE DO!!) in pretty much any body style. That '65 Satellite would make a top shelf convertible too, very SHARP car! I'd absolutely buy every single one of those, and multiple Imperials. I'd further add to this hypothetical work-load and say that we all need pretty much EVERY Dodge or Fargo truck from the B-Series ('48-'53), C-Series ('54-'60), and D-Series ('61-'93), '57 or '58 DeSoto, '60 Chrysler 300 F, a proper Black Beauty Imperial, any Fuselage era MoPars, and a great many others really. I'd buy multiples of 'em all without question. Being a huge fan I'll offer that yall over at Moebius got the skills, superb quality, and completely unique product line to pull something like this off without much trouble, effectively putting your kits even higher into the "Completely Peerless" catergory. These things said, and all dreaming aside, I for one will continue to look forward to all of the future Moebius releases in the months and years to come, no matter what they are!
