  1. I had a chance to merry the engine to the tub. I will say it wasn’t without a lot of struggle. Parts started to pop off and I started sweating and getting frustrated.

So I put it down and went and visited my daughter for the weekend. Went to the Sacramento Autorama, got to see some cool stuff and got my mind right.

When I got home, took a deep breath and got at it...

    Hope you like

  2. Hello all ...

I finally have a update on my build. As you all know it’s just a little too cold to paint anything outside. Even hear in Nor Cal.

So I asked a friend for a favor if he could spray the clear in his paint booth at his body shop. So I brought him my peace’s to get done. Now hears the funny part, he assures me that it won’t be that long of a wait to get it done...

Well I guess 3 weeks isn’t long.... lol

I got them back today, they look great!! Now I can try to get back on track with this.

    Thanks for looking

  3. It was my first time ever to a model car show. A lot of quality builds... met some cool people. I do wish I could have met some more.

Maybe next year I will have something to display.

  4. I can’t believe how frustrating a hobby can be. I had the large gum ball decal wrinkle up and after numerous times of trying to get it to lay flat, I have no luck whatsoever ???

so now I will have to try to start over again. I am super frustrated. After I calm down and realize that this is a learning experience all will be good again.

For those few who are keeping an eye on this build I do thank you. Your kind words and encouragement do make this process fun and enjoyable.

I am just catching up with your build and it looks great!  I have one in my stash too hope to get to it in 2019 as a prelude to building the 312 T3 and T4’s awaiting in the stash....   As for the rivets, I LOVE the look of tiny pins heads for rivets, but I’ll admit right up front that is is a long arduous task to clip, drill, set each one. I hope you’re happy with the Archer transfers and look forward to seeing the results once you hit that red with clear and polish.  ‘Keep your legs moving’ brother, it’s looking good!

Thanks for the kind words! I was going to try the regular rivets, but I found the archer ones and gave this a shot. They do have there plus’s quick and easy, there minuses is that they can fold onto itself which is a pain. It did take me a wile to lay them out. I think next time I will be doing the old fashion way.
