  1. Most Girling Brake assemblies in this era used 10.5 in discs - sometimes paired with 9.5 in discs for the fronts - so I’m cutting discs in both sizes - in scale i’m using 10.5 mm and 9.5 mm - thats close enough …
  2. One of the features of the 25 that this photo gives us a good look at is the brake hub assembly …
  3. The publisher reversed the photo negative - poor Mr Tipler either missed this or never got a chance to check the final draft - oops - in the age of the I ph - the reader can make his own photo correction …
  4. Air Trax is / was fr Finland ? Cool …
  5. Thanks TS - the steering wheel is slightly offset because the steering colomn jogs left to grab the steering rack in between the brake and clutch pedals - but true enlightenment aludes you … anyone else ?
  6. unfortunately - I did not get to photograph this one whilst undressed ... one that got away ... - but I've got a few more if you need them ...
  7. Tremblant summer vintage event - 12 years ago ...
  8. Ace - thanks for the post - actually the shape of the body doesn't look that bad from above - and maybe the article in Veloce was wrong - I agree w you that it looks more like the 212 ... who knows
  9. "Go to the Pebble Beach Concourse. I am sure that a Ferrari guy would by it for $1,000 or more." Mike: this is a great idea - but a vender's table at the concourse costs $2,000 I could stroll around the entrance gate in a trench coat and open the coat to flash the kit ?? maybe I could sell the kit at the concourse entrance for enough $$ for entrance ?? this idea has been rejected by the Finance Minister ... sigh ...
  10. RINGO TOYS CORP FERRARI KIT KIT C542: PRODUCED BY RINGO CIRCA 1963 - BASED UPON MOLDS PURCHASED FROM IDEAL TOYS. SCALE: ABOUT 1/21 - ITS ACTUALLY: SCALE FLUID WHICH FERRARI ?? GOOD QUESTION - APPEARS TO BE BASED UPON THE BARCHETTA - PER AN EXCELLENT ONLINE ARTICLE IN VELOCETODAY. KIT IS COMPLETE AND, UM, UNSPOILED. OFFERED ON EBAY FOR UP TO 249.00 !! GIVE ME A BREAK - IT’S A TOY. A RARE TOY, BUT... PLEASE OFFER ME A TRADE - OTHERWISE I'VE PROMISED THE FINANCE DIRECTOR THAT I'LL SELL THIS SUCKER AT THE POMPANO BEACH IPMS SHOW END OF AUGUST ...
