Great looking rig.. -
I never heard of AK chrome. I just ordered a bottle off of Amazon. It came to $13.00 including shipping for a 30oz bottle. I'll post results when I get it in. If it is just as good and half the cost I am in... I just like the Molotow for more of a time factor over sending parts in to get re-chromed. It is quick, easy and comes out looking great without the toy like appearance. I would also use Alclad, but even though I have tried many times I can never get it to have that mirror finish like many people can get from it.

Great looking Mopar

I am going to guess probably 1/2 oz, maybe less. The refills come in a 1oz bottle.

I use a GrexTS3 airbrush. Those probably took half a cup for all of them. It is more expensive than Alclad, but for some reason I only could get mixed results with Alclad. It always came out looking like old chrome for some reason.
-
That's weird. I have used it with no problem over high gloss black because they were pieces I prepped for Alclad.

Super build.. I love the color..

Honestly, I didn't even look at the snappers chassis. I had a one track mind in that moment just thinking about the hood. I am not at the point of no return so I am going to check it out and look at the detail.. Your right, the one that is in the kit has no detail..

Great looking build..

Yes, I have let them air dry without the dehydrator, but I let them sit for a week before I touched them just to make sure... I read on here that it took a few days to dry fully, so I figured I would make sure I gave it enough time.

Yes you can apply it to pretty much anything. They work really well if you take a little out of the pen an airbrush with them also. Here are some bumper I just did using an airbrush

Here are some bumpers I just sprayed with Molotow before I put them in the dehydrator for the night. I think they turn looking better than the kit chrome because they are nice and shiny, but not too shiny if you know what I mean.

Great looking Coronet..

That is true. Hopefully he gets someone that is willing to work and everything goes well for him. I have ten employees, and there are times I think it would be so much less stressful if I just didn't have any of them. I will say, the added worker has really helped. I made an order about a week ago and it has already arrived. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come.

I got my bottle off Amazon. Scale Hobbiest has it for a buck or two cheaper if you are already making an order, but this one includes free shipping.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MR2KER3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks, I have never used any clear coat on top of the Molotow because I found out the hard way with Alclad that it would dull the finish. I have some MM high gloss enamel that I will try a test piece with and see if it dulls. I sent you a message about the meeting. I can be down there in 40 minutes or so.. I got my bottle off Amazon. I just use it straight out of the bottle, and then clean the AB with thinner after use. I'll post the bumpers when I get them finished. Like with anything, as long as the piece is smooth it will lay down nice and almost self level. If you mist coat it, it ends up almost grainy. When you lay it down do it just like your wet coat when painting the body and then let it sit for a few days. I have a dehydrator that I will put the pieces in for a day or two just to make sure they are dry. All of the chrome on the engine is Molotow except it lost its shine because I shot Smoke over top of it.

I have been using the Molotow Marker refills and using it in an airbrush. On the console I used just the marker, but you can see some of the marker lines. When you airbrush with the Molotow it lays down really nice. The biggest thing to remember is you need to spray heavy and not a mist like Alclad. When you mist it on it ends up looking like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH.

Got a little bit of work done on the interior..

I received my order yesterday as well. I have made several orders in the past and have never had a problem with any of his products. They all have been great!. Sometimes it takes a few weeks and then there are times it takes over a month. I have just gotten in the habit of ordering well before I need any of the paint. I actually placed another order with him today for builds that I probably wont get to until the end of the year. I am not defending any problems that he has had or not responding to emails, but I also think that we forget that this is probably not his full time job. I think that in the Amazon age, we expect things in two days or we are ready to pull our hair out. Maybe I have a soft spot because I own a small business, but I like his product so I am willing to wait for him to get to my order. I like model car garage products as well and have waited for them to arrive also. I know I could also make an argument on the other side and say a business needs to be quick and respond to there customers, but at the end of the day this is a hobby to me and if I have to wait a bit I can find a thousand things to do in the mean time.
