  1. Tim, your site is broken! What's wrong?
  2. It's real. It looks too good to be done by even the best modeler.
  3. It's a model. It looks like it was photographed in a scale model studio rather than a real-sized studio.
  4. Very nice car, man!
  5. WOW! I've never seen one of these trucks before! Hey, perhaps GM could reintroduce the GMC Astro/Chevy Titan with an Isuzu cab!
  6. Well, I've never seen a model kit of a Bugatti Veyron, so I say real.
  7. Yep, I got that part. I'm just wondering if they split or something. Also, what's with their Stevens International & Model King partnerships? Are they distributors of some exclusive AMT-Ertl models? In addition, how far back do these partnerships go? I have an AMT-Ertl Chevy Bison kit (which I'll get to soon, by the way) with the Stevens Int'l logo on one side, which suggests that it's gone as far back as 2003.
  8. Ever since I heard about the Autocar A64B reissue, I've been confused as well. The A64B box is the original box art with the Stevens International logo added, without any mention of Ertl (except the AMT/Ertl logo on the bottom). However, I just bought an AMT/Model King '70 Camaro Z-28, which shows the AMT/Ertl logo on the main part of the box. What's the deal?
  9. Yes! My luck is changing!
  10. It looks a bit suspicious, so I say "model".
  11. The first one looks like it had a run-in with a car crusher.
  12. OK, so it's real. But what kind of car is it?
  13. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Giants stink! Oh well, at least the commercials were cool. And I enjoyed seeing Tom Petty at the halftime show.
  14. Personally, I use a file to remove chrome. But it doesn't do as well on anything other than a flat surface.
  15. The car looks weird & the background's blurry, so I say model.
  16. Which website? I gotta see this for myself!
  17. Awesome truck! You hardly see any Marmons today. If anyone actually gets a 1:1 version, they should consider themselves lucky.
  18. My gosh! You're so lucky to have obtained that kit! That's a rare & valuable kit! By the way, nice job so far. Personally, I'd like to see it painted blue & orange, similar to Roadway transport trucks.
  19. Wow! That thing really looks like a 1970's rig! Great job!
  20. Real! Model! Vegetable! Who knows!? It's been so tough lately! At least I got the last one right.
  21. These very same rims can also be found in the Peterbilt 359 (tractor & wrecker), Peterbilt 352 Pacemaker, GMC General/Chevy Bison, Mack R685ST (I think), Kenworth W-900 (Movin' On & Alaskan Hauler versions as well), Ford LNT8000, and Ford Louisville short hauler kits.
  22. Oh well, I'm sure the original is common enough on Ebay that I can obtain one for a good price (unlike the Ford C-600 garbage truck). Fruehauf's no longer in business? I'm surprised! How long ago was this? I read in Wikipedia about a court case "NLRB v. Fruehauf Trailer Co." Could this be why? I hope the Mack Cruise-Liner's still good to go. I'd rather not pay insane prices for an original on Ebay. Besides, I've got something wicked cool in mind for this rig. After it's finished, I'll give it to my dad as a gift. By the way, thanks for building the test shots of those kits, Tim! If I score a Cruise-Liner kit, I'll have fewer problems in building it! Also, thanks for the tip you gave me about the Autocar cab supports! Also, do you have any tips on attaching hood/cab hinges so they'll function properly? I had trouble doing this on the Chevy Titan kit and as a result, I had to glue the cab permanently shut.
