  1. Don't worry. They'll be releasing a reissue of the Mack Cruise-Liner sometime next April.
  2. Awesome! This should convince some model-manufacturing company to issue a 70's suburban kit.
  3. Great job on your first rig!
  4. WOW! That is an awesome truck!! I really like the orange paint job. By the way, are the Peterbilt 365 or 367 available with flat fenders like the 353 or 357?
  5. Mainly classic rock (60's-80's), but also old-school rap, blues, country, 70's, 80's, 90's (stuff that is not Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Britney Spears, etc...), "Weird Al" Yankovic, national anthems, theme songs, and military music. I also do some work during TV commercial breaks.
  6. Right, no offense or anything, but it's Sunday now, and we still have no answer. Is there some bureaucratic problem we should know about?
  7. For the past 3 in a row it was the real thing. This time, it has to be a model.
  8. Whoa! Those vehicles are cool! I actually got my first model sometime before I was 10 (I think), but it was a snap-together model. It was a Lamborghini Diablo VT convertible (don't know the manufacturer).
  9. ALso, I've been meaning to ask this question for a while, but I never got around to it for some reason: What model year is this kit supposed to represent? I think it's a 60's-early 70's model.
  10. Yes, that is interesting. In fact, some of the Construcktor pictures I've seen are long hood, SBFA trucks. Those things are monstrous!
  11. Thanks, Tim! It's great that you're a member of the forum! Happy Thanksgiving!
  12. Hey, I've been reading some tidbits on the internet about this truck called the Construcktor. According to what I gleaned, it's some sort of heavy duty truck made by Autocar & White. Some truck pictures that have been labeled as Construcktors are actually Autocar DC-series trucks. Does anyone know anymore about the Construcktor? Also, does anyone know if there are any Construcktor conversion kits, or if it's possible to build a Construcktor using existing parts from any kits?
  13. Yeah, I got an Autocar A64B todoy (YAY! ), and the box art was a carbon copy of the original kit except for the "Stevens International" logo under the AMT logo.
  14. I heard some further news saying that this kit will be re-issued in April of 2008 (yeah, more like June or July, given the way the model kit industry works). Get your pre-orders ready!
  15. Speaking of Bill Signs Peterbilt, there's some schmuck in France selling one for $250.00 "Buy it Now". I'd rather buy the original T500-500 California Hauler 359 at a normal price than blow all my money on that kit.
  16. UPDATE: I'm also seeing reports that it's finally arrived. Pick one up today! OTHER UPDATE: I got one today, and I can't wait to finish it! For some odd reason, the box art is a carbon copy of the original kit's box art, only with the Stevens International logo. Does this mean that Ertl sold AMT or something?
  17. The last two times, it was the real thing, so I'm going to say that it's the fake McCoy.
  18. I've heard of FWD trucks before, but not Sicard. Must not have been an overly familiar company.
  19. I know what you mean. I was looking at an AMT catalog from the early 70's, and the price of all big rig models (truck alone, no trailers or anything). was $5. I wonder how much that is in today's dollars. By the way, cool truck! I wonder why crop-sprayer trucks have monster truck tires.
  20. Great job! The exhaust coming from the hood is pretty unusual. I've never seen anything like it. Are there any trucks in real life with this setup?
  21. Thanks for the tip, guys! Glad it wasn't my highest priority kit of the moment. I'd rather spend my $$$ on that oh-so-near Autocar A64B reissue. Well, at least this one's not as big a ripoff as that infamous "Marmon" kit, eh?
  22. Hey, I didn't think I'd ever see a green Pete besides my own! That orange truck looks like it could be in the Guinness Book of World Records for "Tallest Smokestacks"! However, I don't think it'll be going anywhere with that bumper dragging on the ground.
  23. That sucker's a Memorex. I've never seen anything like that before.
