Christopher, I've used some of their mesh before, and it's great stuff for cars! I'm gonna guess that the 2x4 is the measurement of the piece only, nothing related to it's size in 1/35th scale.

I'm 50, and grew up with Muscle Cars, and have owned a few, I absolutely love 'em and build 'em all the time! But, building an occasional Tuner gives me the chance to really stretch my skills out in a different direction. There's not a whole lot you can't do with a Tuner that someone hasn't done in 1;1, so there's no worries about it looking goofy, anything with a wing that big is gonna look goofy. I take it as a challenge to make the goofy wing look like it belongs there. That, and dropping a Pro-Street Eclipse with a 426 HEMI on the contest table makes everyone look at you like you've lost your mind,,,,

The absolute worst kit ever!

I've gotta agree, the MPC Flip-Nose kits were horrible, but those great big slicks were my favorite part, they looked great on many other models! Although I do need to find another one of the Spirit Of '57 kits, just to see if I can finally build it and get a decent result! -
Stretching out the grille and headlights is a great idea, it'll change the look and hopefully make the bumper less pronounced! The side scoops are gonna look a whole lot more aggressive like that, i like the idea!
-
Then I'll just sit here with my mouth shut and watch! Bring on the "special" mill!

Man, that spoiler looks just right Ken! And you freaked me out with that "scoop", don't do that, I might have a heart attack on ya! Are you going to try to pull the front bumper in more, or is that the final position for it?

I've gotta try some of their paints someday, they have some killer colors! That should look awesome on the Camaro body!

Guns N Roses, Night Train! Try this one.... This time I know it There's no doubt in my mind

Anthony, I built the same one you had, and had a severely warped interior, mildly warped chassis, and the same issue with the fog lights. I sanded the outside of the fog lights down until they sat recessed and it finally worked.

Great solution for the flares Ken, and you should grab one of those Civic kits if you ever see one (I'm no Tuner fan, trust me!), it's a great kit with tons of extra parts for the stash!
-
This should be a good one to watch! I'd go a different route myself, just hacking the roof off of the '70 and blending the tulip panel from the '72, but I'm kind of lazy like that!

Good luck with this one, it can be a nice looking kit, but it's gonna be a fight! I just finished one with my daughter, and discovered that it takes way more work than necessary to get the chassis and body lined up properly. I finally gave up, deleted the under-hood filler, glued the hood shut, and used lots of superglue to get the chassis to stay where it was supposed to be!

Mike, technically, you could be ticking off the MOPAR faithful, since they bought AMC, but I don't think they really care about AMC at all. AMC is the sad orphan that no one seems to want around. It's a shame, because they did have some cool cars, the Rebel Machine, SC/Rambler and all of the Javelins and AMXs were as good as anything the Big Three put out at that time, sometimes better!

Great job on your Henry J Phillip, it can look good, but it takes way more work than it should! I love the Revell Tri-Five Chevy kits too, but don't look forward to trying to make one look good...even though I know how to use the kit hinges now and make 'em work right...I learned that trick on the Henry J! Greg, the worst parts are the hood hinge, the two-part fenders and separate hood (I glued all those the parts together and removed the trim/character line from the fenders), the engine (Swap it out for something a bit more detailed), and the rear suspension is a bear to get straight. I wish I had raduised the rear wheel wells a bit more, but I just wanted to get it done! -

Thanks for using my build as an example of what can be done with a dog of a kit Bill...you have no idea how hard it was to get that kit to look that good! I never want to do another one of those Henry J kits as long as I live! -
If you can make it work, that modern suspension and frame would be perfect! Hell, use the Aurora engine in it if you can, it's a tough engine, otherwise Shelby wouldn't have used it!
-
Ken I'm glad to have inspired someone with that old Matador, this looks like it's gonna be awesome if it comes out even close to that drawing! I'll check my parts stash and see if I have a set of those rims too, I've got tons of spare rims! And once you start this, it has to be finished! If you can't finish it, I'll take over where you stall out, I wanna see this one completed! Oh, have you considered the Shelby Series 1 for the chassis? It's a beauty, and might actually fit with a little massaging!

And just to see who's paying attention, a slight change-up on the last one! Tonight's the night we'll make history As sure as dogs can fly

A Man I'll Never Be, Boston. One of my all-time favorite songs, I can't believe no one got this one! I also had the quoted posts for two others, but I erased 'em like an idiot! One was for All She Wrote by Firehouse Two was for Living In America by James Brown I'd go back and find 'em but this thread is 60 freakin' pages long! Now one from me... It was back in the summer of '83 There's a reason I remember it well

Ken, how much thinner are you using, that may be your issue, I thin my nail polishes 50/50, and adjust as needed to get it about the same consistency as 2% milk. Now shoot some Clear on that body, it'll look incredible! BTW, what was the name on the Blue, I've gotta get some of that color! I've used Sinful Colors nail polishes for years with no spider-webbing, and I use a cheap lacquer thinner from Lowe's, shot through a Testor's external-mix airbrush at around 35 psi. I've even used their Pearl White (Tokyo Pearl), which I think is the best Pearl White you can find!

Great color combo Michael, I can't wait to see how the rims turn out!
