We went out to Montauk this week. It was warm, around 66 F. The lighthouse was not open, the gift shop too.

38 F and real chilly out there. I got my lawn sprinklers blown out a few days ago. Picked the last of my garden yesterday.

Well... a parking lot is sort of a road. We were out at Montauk yesterday and right next to where we ate was a boat yard. We got to watch this large boat being picked up and moved for winter storage.

45 F and gloomy. It isn't supposed to rain until next week. But Island living... you can never be 100% sure on anything the weatherman says.

I found the real Plum Crazy in the Mopar touch up line that looks great.

What I do like is Ace Hardware paints. I use a couple of gloss grays mostly for stock car chassis. I did one the other day, no real waiting for it to dry. I can handle it to paint the other end within an hour. I use a lot of TS sprays and like them. My other weapon of choice is Mopar touch up sprays. They don't have the blush issue I'm getting with Duplicolor products.

I used to BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH all over Testors enamel until I saw some great builds that used it. I did a black paint job for one of my kid's friends, used the Rustoleum primer and paint, all in 1 can. Gloss black, it came out great. I think that someone that struggles with hardware store paints will struggle with any paint. I realize that some modelers have no access to hobby paints, or try to save a few bucks where they can.
