Very cool, I have one of Ed's bodies too... yet another stalled project. The fit of the body was real close to the kit body. This is one I have to dig out again.

I compared the Badman body, etc with the AMT Belair.... the AMT kit definitely has better proportions. I had a Revell '56 Chevy I built when was getting back into the hobby around 1998. There was little aftermarket parts around and the internet was just getting cranked up. I used a Testors metallic blue and painted the interior with brush paints. BACK IN THE BOX for that one), I was not happy with it. A few years it came apart, went into the purple pond and re-emerged as a stock car. The Badman may have a similar future.

Nice Pontiac, they were always great looking and driving cars.

I knew one guy in the club, he owned a body shop and painted everything in his smaller booth, usually urethanes and they were always flawless and as smooth as glass.

I like the mirrors. Parts By Parks used to make some hotrod mirrors that were very nice.

I'm not doing anything about it, I had some CBD cream that gave me some relief. Now my RIGHT thumb is sore, I've been on a tear with working on the Belair. I just finished scraping all the drip-rail caulk out and applying new stuff. A fairly awkward position working that high up for hours. Day time, little tingling, I get that mostly at night. It does go away fast when I wake up.

Nice progress. I had used that 352 in a '49 Mercury and it detailed up well. FYI the '60 Ford was the widest car body ever produced. Of all time, who knows. But they were massive cars. One of my friends, the family had one, a 2 door sedan with the 6 and 2-speed automatic... and some serious rot issues.

Nice, I'm still leaning on getting my Mr. Ivan a kitten companion. The 2 that I got for my girlfriend, they get along with her daughter's big black male cat. It is like he has his own little harem to follow him around.

I patch the oil pans too. I have a glue bomb '62 Ford... another BACK IN THE BOX special I did this with. I lowered it all around and used .062" aluminum tubing stubs for the front axles. I'm on the fence between the kit 352 and a 427 from the '65 Ford kit. I also have a couple of big blocks from VCG Resins to consider.

Field gray... noted. I have only recently looked at some of their military colors.

There was a used cop car seller up state NY, Ballston Spa. They always had old state trooper cars on the lot. When I was doing alignments, one Diplomat came in and I shook it down and looked under it. The cross member looked like a jigsaw puzzle. It had been "fixed" with numerous welds and fresh cracks throughout the k-member. Plus it had an oil leak so bad I had to rig up a cardboard shield to keep the oil off me as I looked at it.

I broke my left thumb a couple of times years ago. For the past 10 years it has been hurting. I have carpal tunnel too. I really should wait for fall or just after Xmas to get it fixed. Arthritis for sure. I have taken another stance on surgery as I get older, I'm not as afraid of it.0 I'm not huge on stretching and yoga was suggested. The pool is an immense help it seems.

There is also things like dandruff, cat hair to contend with... only cat hair in my house... My hair is short but I'll drag a damp paper towel over my head to get anything loose off. One guy in the club, no longer with is. He painted a car and wound up with an EYELASH in the paint. Of all things... he left it there.

Amazing progress. This is a killer build. I never liked the Revell rear crossmember, but you got it to work. I usually make my own. On a few cars, I have bonded in 0-80 nuts or used some brass inserts, used screws (allen head) to do the final assembly and be able to fit check things along the way.

Staggering I say, very well done. These projects are a black hole of time.

Looks JUST LIKE one a club member built... National Speedway was a great place. The funny car shoots there were awesome. I would go home deaf for 3 days after.

Wow, even has a cat on it. I have never done a kit with one on it. I like the color. One of our club members had a great survivor one, light blue with a white roof, IIRC painted not vinyl. Unfortunately we lost him a few years back.

Another great kit and yours looks great. I started the '65 custom one and it is another BACK IN THE BOX special. Plans are to make it cockroach low, dechrome the heck out of it and find some cool wheels and tires.

I built one many years back, yours looks great. I'm glad some of these old kits are still around. The 1:1 cars drove very well and were fast.

I thought they might be a Ron Coon product. I like his #1 and #19 steamroller tires. I think I use his #32 and #34 wheels, hubs are the #6, 7, 18, 19 for the most part. I like the 3/8" deep wheels. I'm doing a '36 coupe now, ran into new-and-improved issues... BACK IN THE BOX. This is becoming my 2024 mantra.... I even have my girlfriend saying it, applies to anything that does not go to plan.

What is the color? It looks amazing, these cars need to be painted in a dignified color. I picked up a lot of AMT Mercury parts, I could likely build 3 cars out of that alone. I have 2 AMT kits in the works, one is a resin body, the other is a Revell kit.

I would look at the '66 Riviera chassis, it has a lot of detail over the OG '65 one. The '63-65 Riv is one of the best looking cars of all time. They rode very well too. I have a '65 kit, I may do it box stock-ish just to get it done. Maybe de-chrome the body and foil what I have to.

Ww will be visiting the pistol bureau soon, my girlfriend needs to re-up her pistol permit. If the car is outside, I'll get some pictures of it, or ask if I can see it inside somewhere.

I really should think about moving if a similar house in town pops up. I have a lot of equity in this one, so a lateral would be fine. I passed up one on a few blocks over maybe 6 years back. I still need a basement and a big garage. Where I am now, no close neighbors, a pool and nice yard. This would let me get rid of a lot of BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH in general, my styrene footprint would remain about the same, but be better organized.

I'm sort of sorry I opened mine up, I found it dissipointing, although I did build one when they first came out. I painted it metallic red, botched the decals and made it into a "MADMAN" across the deck lid. I will either give it to someone I don't like or use another interior and chassis under it. Going stock car... it just may happen.
