Very nice, there was a 1:1 NART Spyder on Chasing Classic Cars on Velocity a year or so ago. It went to auction, I believe it sold for over 2 million..

I am sure if most of you are like me, you have more than enough kits to build to last the rest of your life. I have not bought any kits lately, only modeling supplies (paint/foil etc) Personally I am tired of the reissues, and am focusing on the kits in my stash and I have found kits I forgot I had. I am looking forward to the Mobius models coming out such as the Satellite and the Comet- I may have to buy these two. But I agree, as long as the reissue kits are being bought, they will contine to make them.

Very nice. The black paint looks flawless. Black and red, my favorite colors.

I still have my two jobs, my Wife and I are mostly healthy. Both kids have good jobs and are happy. I had a vacation day today, even if we did go shopping, I got to go to a car show. Not a bad day!

Nice, great engine detail. Not sure if you are familiar with Bare Metal Foil or not,it makes the trim stand out. Paint is nice.

does anyone collect diecast?
promoman replied to polandmob's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have over 150 1:18 diecast all on display in the basement along with the promos and cars I have built. -
Let me know how you get the front clip to line up with the cowl. I built the same kit and I could not get them to line up, I display the model with the front flipped. I built mine in red oxide primer with rims painted red with wide white walls and small 47-48 Ford hubcaps. I also did the bed to look like wood. also shaved the door handles and use 59 Caddy taillights and a different grill with canted headlamps.

I have two jobs, one full time and one part time. My full time job I am an Auditor for a third party payment agency, processing and paying freight bills for major corporations. My job involves database maintenance, customer service, and updating computer applications as well as assistant dept manager. This is usually 40+ hours per week. My part time job I am a Credit Investigator for a large tire company, I investigate and process new credit applications as well as evaluate existing customers for credit line increases. I work appx. 60-70 hrs per week, which leaves little time for modeling or anything else. I enjoy modeling, collecting 1:18 diecast cars, and I have a Lionel train layout and enjoy watching real trains.

Great Work! I remember the gas lines of the early 70's, the price of 57.9 really was a looooong time ago. Was the Clark station scratch built? Very nice work, by the way I graduated high school in 72, had my first car a 72 Gremlin, I saw the billboard ad for a Gremlin in one of the scenes.

-56 Vette VS. -59 Oldsmobile 98
promoman replied to JAFFA's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I am sure I am probably the only vote for the 59 Olds, but I really like it over the Vette. To each their own, I like the 50's luxury barges. -
What else do you collect
promoman replied to BIGTRUCK's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I forgot to mention my promo collection. I collect from the early 60's to mid 70's. Have not bought many lately due the prices. -
