I took a closer look at that picture. The VW body is sitting on a tractor Backwards. You can just make out the tractor's Differential under the front bumper. And you can sorta see the nose of the tractor under the sheet metal of the rear of the VW. So the tractor is usable , your just looking out the rear window's of the VW. The tire's at the front of the van don't have to turn , the steer tire's are at the rear of the van.

I built the "Haulin Hearse" Three times over the year's . The last time, I found the kit in a hobby store in Portland Or. in 1982 . I would L O V E to see it on store shelf's again. This kit started my life long love of Hearse's .... and led to me Purchasing this in 2002. I had a L O T of fun with this car.
