Very nice result again! I like the fact that you are presenting "color alternatives" on your models. The "garage" looks good aswell, but you seem to be running out of space soon. ?

Thanks Tim and Scott!

Hi Ludwig, another great build with a beautiful color combo and superb detailing! This pretty much sums it up! I started the 59 hardtop build around this time last year but I didn't like the way the "chrome eyebrows" should be built. So I out the kit away for a year. Inspired by your convertible build, I worked something out now but will do the model curbside-style, so with no engine and the hood shut.

Many thanks guys!

Great model of a beautiful car, Anders! I like it a lot! You probably took on this 1/16 scale kit because there is no kit of this in 1/24 scale? Someone modified the Ebbro DS21 kit to a convertible. But it is a LOT of work to do. Images can be viewed here: https://www.wettringer-modellbauforum.de/forum/index.php?page=Thread&postID=889174#post889174 Coming back to your model, you managed to create a color that fits the car perfectly. Citroën really had their own special colors back then and they are hard to come by for modellers!

I agree, the result is just beautiful, despite the difficulties that you have encountered. As regards the body color, you did a great job on applying the smoke coat so evenly. I know from experience that this is not easy to do. And I have faced the same problems with the "test spoon". That result always seems to differ from the color on the body...

Good work and that yellow always looks great on that car! If I may show my own build:

Great build! I totally agree on those Monogram kits. They may be big in 1/24 scale, but they are great kits to build. Tamiya Metallic Green looks great on ALL those Mopars. Too bad that they don't offer darker shades of green aswell.

Question: best way to mask interiors for painting?
Tommy124 replied to customline's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
There's another way to how masking tape can be used in the interior. You can pre-paint a piece of masking tape in the desired color or wood pattern. Then cut it to size and apply it. Done! I used this technique on my 70 Bonneville interior: -
