  1. Cool thread. I like box art builds! Here's a few of mine.
  2. You are correct Sir! Almond Joy/Mounds.
  3. Thanks all, I appreciate all your comments. I enjoyed building this one and it was kind of a slump buster for me. I know it's a little "different" and not everyone's "cup of tea" but "some times ya feel like a nut, some times ya don't" Anyone remember what product that tag line is from?
  4. All good Harry, I was trying to understand what you meant. I did fat finger the title and didn't catch it till you pointed it out. Thanks for your input.
  5. Thanks Harry, I appreciate you pointing out my mistakes. Could you define for me what is "plausible" ? You know, just so I don't screw up again.
  6. With all respect to Mr. Starbird. Here's my version. Just finished it up. Had a lot of fun building it. Comments welcome!
  7. I got the interior finished up yesterday - I'm having too much fun with this one!
  8. Thanks all, I knew some of you would "get it". I added a little flocking to the interior for texture. Lots of clear on the body too. "This looks like it could have been built for an Annette-or-Elvis-style '60s beach movie" Never thought of that but....yeah.. I agree! Thanks!
  9. With a respectful nod to Mr. Starbird......
  10. This has got to be one of my all time favorite model car pictures! Good work John!
  11. Well, after recently being cited for speeding in a trap, this is what first comes to my mind!
  12. Very nice work. Great looking model.
  13. Love the silver 'flake and that it's not chopped. Nice job.
  14. Rod Stewart is an avid model railroader.
  15. Very, very nice. Like that a lot. Well done!
  16. Great build, very realistic. I can smell the mud, exhaust and beer from here!
  17. Many thanks all! I appreciate all your comments!
  18. Looks museum quality to me! A subject not often seen with so much detail it can be studied for hours. Excellent build.
  19. Garage sale furniture and lamps
  20. Thanks, yes the doors are fixed shut.
  21. Finally got this one finished after a long time. I used one of the more recent issues for the build and although one of my favorite all time kits I think the molds are shot.(just my humble opinion here). It was a fun challenge fitting this one together. I deviated from the art on the wheels for no other reason than I just thought the chrome reversed would look better on a car like this. 22. I'll not give a recommendation as you'll get plenty of those but I will suggest you take whatever you settle on to a qualified mechanic and have it checked over completely before you lay down your green.
