  1. It is Testors dark gloss red with Modelmasters high gloss clearcoat.
  2. Thanks for the explanation and video Tulio! I'll give that a try on one of my next builds. Possibly on a '68 VW Beetle.
  3. I first built a 352 when I was a teenager but burned it as I lost interest in the hobby. Now that I'm 40 years older I'm building it again. This time around I'm paying a lot more attention to detail though!
  4. I finished this up a couple months ago. I hope you all like it. Those doors were a PITA! \
  5. Thanks everyone for your comments! But Tulio-what is foiling? I've got a lot to learn from you guys and girls! Steve
  6. Thanks Cobraman! Posting pics is easier than I expected!
  7. Well that looked like it worked so here's a couple more.....
  8. New guy here and posting pics for the first time.....hope this works! My first car was a '65 Ford Galaxie 500 that I bought from my parents in 1975. The paint scheme on the model matches that car.
  9. Hey all-at 60 years old I just started getting back into this great hobby! As a teenager I built dozens of 1/25 scale cars, some trucks and a few planes. Unfortunately like a dummy, I burned them all, one at a time as I lost interest in the hobby. I still wish I had many of them: the McLaren M8F, Trantula dragster, Tony Nancy's orange front engine dragster, Peterbilt 352 cabover to name a few of my favorites that went up in smoke. Since the beginning of this year I've built a '66 Ford Galaxie 500 (my first car that I bought from my parents as a teenager), Tom Daniel's Red Baron, the Little Red Wagon, the Monkeemobile and I'm just now finishing up another Peterbilt 352. Got many more still in boxes waiting to be built: a Peterbilt 359 conventional, a Triumph GT6, '68 VW Beetle, Fruehauf tanker, etc. I'll hopefully be posting pics of the ones 'under glass' in the next few days. From lurking on this site the last few weeks, I've seen lots of AMAZING beautiful work from you all. I hope that as my skills become better, that I can become as talented as many of you! Safire 6
