  1. Very nice, superb paintwork, the colour suits the old Jag'
  2. Very nice build....
  3. Managed to pop along on the Saturday, very good and well worth the visit, there's pretty much everything there to interest all modellers.
  4. Stop teasing me ! But if it comes to fruition, I'll be buying a few of them.
  5. Get yourself some panel wipe, it's used in the automotive body repair business to do exactly what you want to do, it will remove and grease including silicone, I use it before i airbrush my topcoats, I use 70%Alcohol on bare plastic.
  6. Even though i don't build model aircraft, even i was impressed with this one, and a few other aircraft in the same scale by other manufacturers, I took plenty of photos at the show.
  7. Went to the IPMS Nationals on Saturday, picked up a Revell Germany version of the Chevrolet 56 Nomad, I checked the contents the day after the show, sadly the rear light lenses are missing, after chatting to my contract at Revell U.K, parts for this kit are unobtainable, luckily i found another kit in Carson City Nevada, going for a silly price, I'll cast a set of lights in resin, and either build the second kit or sell\trade it, hopefully I'll have the second kit by end of the week.
  8. A Spare tyre will be in the post for you next week,
  9. We'll catch up with each other in the morning Jim, looking forward to meeting up, it's been too long.
  10. Very nice build, I think I've got a spare wheel for this in my spares box, let me have a look tomorrow in the hobby room, you're welcome to it if I find it.
  11. Zero paints aren't at the show this year Jim.
  12. Superb build, colour really suits it, I'll get round to building mine one day.
  13. Had it arrive this afternoon, no date at all either on the box or instructions, although I've seem photos on the internet with 1992 on the front of the box.
  14. This plan of not buying anymore kits this year is just not going to plan, ordered this last night
  15. After wet sanding, I start polishing with the Poorboys SSR2, followed by the others in the order there numbered, usually when I'm using cellulose paints, I'll use them all, if I'm using acrylics I'll probably, like I did with the Corvette I'm building, I only used SSR2 and the deep Crystal wax.
  16. A couple of Trabant's, found them while cleaning out the cupboard in the office/hobby room, I put them away while building a few commission builds and my memory being what it is totally forgot about them, need to order some Trabant paint from Germany for the saloon, which I'm building as a deluxe(yes, you got two tone paintwork and a fuel gauge)
  17. Taken earlier this year in Majorca.
  18. Breathtaking build, love all the detail you've out into the build.....
  19. I'll have a look when my friend in France sends it across, he found it in a model shop just outside of Montpellier.
  20. Bought this back in 1997, started building it, then due to work, got out of modelling all together, sold all my unbuilt kits, strangely i kept all my paints and tools, this one somehow found it's way into the attic, and has been up there ever since, totally forgot about it, only found it as we've starting clearing out the attic, I'm going to get it finished.
  21. Somebody stop me...... but in my defence it was a superbly cheap kit for such a rare kit
  22. Been looking for one of these without paying silly eBay prices, even the later re-released version sells for silly money this side of the pond, found one last night for just under £22
  23. Australian Utes are totally different to the American pick ups, there more based on the saloon version, check out photos of the 1952 Chevrolet pick up in America compared to the 52 Chevrolet Ute in Australia.
  24. Hopefully it will build up as nicely as the convertible i built a few years ago.
