  1. Some of you might remember my post on this last year. Its the 66 suburban I converted to 4x4 and the scratch built camper. So got digging through the stash and came upon them, and though, lets finish these. Going to be finished in matching light blue and white. As always thanks for looking.
  2. So finally finished the dumper, for now, think it came out pretty nice. Thanks to everyone for all the input during the build.
  3. Done with he dump truck for now. made another bumper for it. I thought the other one looked to bulky. Posting the rest of pics in under glass. Going to add a salt spreader eventually as I have one, another member was kind enough to offer up. Thanks for all of the input throughout the build. I will post pics of my next build FORD f250 extended cab 4x4 with a powerstroke. The mirrors were from the parts box.
  4. I thought about dirtyin it up but its sooo pretty.
  5. Thanks for the comments. I got the front bumper tacked on, but I think it needs to set back a bit further. So gonna fix that. Grill is in, (not the best fit) but looks ok. Want to finish it up and get on to something else. Got a 90s f250 I'm gonna do lifted 4x4 with a diamond plate flat bed. May do one of the Trailer trash powerstrokes in it.
  6. Getting closer to being finished. Had to make new windows for it, the kit one was to thick, wouldn't let interior tub fit.
  7. Thanks for the suggestion on the bumper. Got the diamond plate bumper done, don't know as I'm all that thrilled with it. Maybe even a square tube bumper would look good?
  8. Looks real good. maybe some diamond plate running boards? Got color on the dump truck. Rustoleum apple red. Cleared the hood, gona clear the cab after decals. Trying to build a diamond plate front bumper.
  9. Superior job right here. I love these creative heavy duty truck builds based on pickup kits. Looks real good. maybe some diamond plate running boards? Thanks for every ones input and comments. Going to get some color on it soon, I hope. Change of mind on the color. Going to go with plain gloss red. Make it look more like a work truck I think.
  10. Yes, I have made a pair of diamond plate running boards, Going on after cabs painted.
  11. Got plow mounted, it is detachable. Interior's done. Didn't go to nuts on details here. Just added a cb radio, shift levers, and joystick for plow controls. Got another coat of primer on the cab. hope to get it painted in a couple days.
  12. After getting some primer on the cab, I noticed that there was not much of the body line detail on the front lower part of the front fenders. So back to sanding, think I got it looking pretty OK. As always thanks for the input.
  13. Thanks for the input. Its bean a long time since I have had this much fun building. I can't wait to finish it!
  14. So I made the fenders removable and made provisions for mud flaps also, so I can change them out when I want a different look. Got the box painted and the cab is ready for paint. Going to make the plow detachable also.
  15. OK, looking for a little input . Tryin to decide, single mud flaps, dual mud flaps or fenders ? Please feel free to voice an opinion. I'm kinda digging the fender then add a short mud flap to that? Thanks for lookin.
  16. Got the side boxes mounted to the frame. Brackets for those were made with square tubing cut in half to resemble angle iron. Got primer on the box. Also built a pair of diamond plate running boards.
  17. So while the cab is soaking in the stripper, thought I would get the plow done. This is the plow from the GMC plow truck. I added skid shoes and the end markers. Going to wire and plumb it when I put it on the dump truck.
  18. Got my color picked out of the paint cabinet. Its a forest green plasticote. Box is gona be satin black.
  19. Thank's for all your comments and input. I am having a lot of fun with this one.
  20. Thank's for all your comments and input. I am having a lot of fun with this one.
  21. Got the dump cylinder and fuel tank filler done. Built a receiver for it, now gona try building a pintle hitch for it.
  22. Thanks, for the input so far. Here a couple more pics. The fuel tank is parts box and the side boxes are scratch built.
  23. So got the air intake built for the cummins. Looks pretty good setting in the engine bay. Made from styrene tubing. Next is the exhaust. So here is the exhaust also scrath built. Having a lot of fun with this one.
