  1. Heater tubes and hoses installed and goose neck and top radiator hose. Tubes and goose neck are scratch built styrene rod.
  2. Got the shocks done. Had to scratch build the drive shafts, using styrene tubing and ends from parts box drive shafts. Next is plumbin the engine.
  3. Making a little more progress on the dumper. Got the chase painted and the cummins in. Scratch building shocks, and have to build a cross member for the transfer case. I also opted out for a standard trans. didn't like the auto. trans. that comes with the cummins.
  4. The reflectors that come with Serest flea collars. They are clear and hollow. Cut the bottom off and paint the inside amber, and you have a caution light for wrecker, snow plow or whatever.
  5. Still workin on the dump truck. Scratching my head, trying to figure out what I could use to make a caution light for it. The wife calls out for some help putting the dogs flea collar on. '' Bingo'' an idea not the dog. The little clear snap on reflectors that come with the Seresto collars. (small dog). They are hollow so I cut the bottom off, painted the inside amber and made a base out of styrene. Thought I would share.
  6. So I got the cummins about finished. Now gotta make it fit. Lots of trimming and sanding on the engine, but it looks pretty good I think.
  7. So I decided if this thing is meant to plow snow, better have a bit more aggressive tires. 16'' mud & snow, from scenes unlimited. front lockers are scratch built. Got the 5.9 cummins from trailertrash yesterday, looking at a lot of reference pics on google.
  8. Thanks for the input and info on the engine, Will keep progress posted.
  9. Its bean quite a while since my last posting. Spending a lot of time with my one and only grandson. (Spoilage)! So got this at an estate sale was missing the bed and a few other parts. So I thought lets try something outside the box, LOL. Scratch build a dump truck. The cab is the dodge little red express. The dump box I scratch built. Lengthened the frame. Added 4x4. Wheels are B&L resin. Gona mount the snow plow from chevy kit on it. Thinking about maybe trying to build a salt spreader for it also. Would like to find a cummings 6 for it if anyone has any idea where I could get one. Thanks for looking
  10. No. So far have managed to get the frame painted. Ya know how that goes, LOL. Really hope the new year frees me up a bit got a lot of unfinished projects.
  11. So picked up another box of mixed goodies at an auction. This was in it. I don't do NASCAR. If anyone is interested in trades, I like hot rod, muscle, off road, or parts in those categories. It has bean opened and started, but luckily was given up on before it was completely glue bombed. Only thing painted was chassis. Everything is in the kit and re bagged. Looks to be complete. Thanks for looking. P.S. Looking for some oversized truck tires.
  12. Its bean a little while since my last post on the bronco. Here is the progress so far.
  13. So my wife was cleaning out her vanity and was gona throw this out. I said no I'll take it. A little double faced tape and some sand paper and here is a little sander that works really well. And it has a couple of different sized heads so it can be used in tight areas.
  14. Looking good!! I'm with on the Vega;s and the Monza's. Had a 79 Monza with the v6 was always gona put a 350 in it. Keep up the nice work
  15. So here is the start of the Monte Carlo I owned back in like 91-92. Mine was a v6 turbo coupe when I bought it ( engine junk) but would eventually be replaced with a 406. Man I MISS THE GOOD OLE DAYS!!! Mine looked like the 1:1 pic (paint scheme) with the exception of aluminum wheels I had on it. Paint went on like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH so had to strip it. Hence the gray shadow. Hope to try again in a couple days
  16. Got these kits and I'm not into NASCAR. Would like to barter on something . I'm into muscle cars, trucks, parts make me an offer. The Kyle Petty is opened but all there and the Mellow Yellow is unopened Thanks for taking a look
  17. Built the truck, then thought it would look cool hauling something. So I built the nova, hood scoop on the nova is scratch built, as well as the trailer that has yet to be painted.
  18. Here are a couple more pics of my scratch built camper, and a car trailer I threw together.
  19. Have not bean able to get out to the garage to do any painting, so decided to share a few more pics of my 1:1 93 Cheyenne.
  20. Thanks everyone for your comments on my camper post. Just waiting to mother nature to give in and warm things up, so I can get out to the shop to paint. N.Y. weather really sucks rite now!!!!
  21. Scratch built just finishing up some detail work before paint. Going to paint to match the 66 Suburban I have bean working on.
  22. Scratch built this to put behind the 66 Suburban. Going to paint it to match. Had a lot of fun with it.
  23. So I wasn't crazy about the fuel injected motor that came in the plow truck kit. So I dug up this 454 and cut and grafted the tail section of the trany off the kit engine to it. Here is the progress on the Bronco thus far. Got primer on it and found a couple spots that needed attention.
  24. Thanks, I used strip styrene then use my xacto to round the edges.
  25. Put side and wheel well moldings on it. The hood scoop I made by cutting the hood, raising it and filled sides in with styrene. Think I am going to finish it in a burnt orange and white.
