  1. This is one I scratch built with styrene. I think if you laid it out and scribe the ribs, then use a flat or nail file, holding it at an angle , the results would be real close to what your wanting to achieve.
  2. Got the Monte cleared. Now on to getting it finished.
  3. Nice!!?
  4. Finally!! got everything on the chasis lined up and glued. Got wheels painted. Is there a kit out there anywhere with a decent looking 351? The one in this kit is ?!!
  5. Thanks for the positive comments. This thing is really trying my patients, but I'm not giving up.?
  6. The tan and gold I never saw until I bought mine. Then about a year later another one showed up in town. We had same wheels, only difference was the hoods, as mine was originally a turbo so had a scoop and his did not. For along time couln't figure out why so many people waving as we passed, till one day we both pulled into the same car wash. I think we both had to do a double take. ?
  7. Making a little progress on the 73 stang. Man this is a frustrating kit. The towers for the rear axle set to far toward the rear of the chasis. So I cut them out and used just the rear differential and leaf springs and made an axle housing for it. Her is what I have so far. Will add a couple of pics that show what I had to do to the chasis.
  8. I like what u did with it. considering what you had to work with. I am currently working on this kit for the CBR it's a tough kit to get things rite on. Ya did good!!?
  9. Well the mustang needs a lot of sanding to get the rear quarter lines and A pillars correct. A pillars were way to wide so narrowed them and scribed new molding lines. Took a few pics that are not the best, but I think the lines can be seen.
  10. Got the rear quarter lines sanded out on the stang. Also had to rework the A piller lines as they were way wider than what they should have bean. Tried to get a couple of descent pics.
  11. Glad I checked out this post. I am building this kit for the cannonball entry. I also was thinking that neither motor in the kit seemed rite. Gotta look through the stash, think I have a better looking 302 or 351. I will also work out the rear quarter lines.
  12. Well the monte is now two tone. Get is sanded and cleared in a couple of days. turned out better than I was expecting.
  13. Going to build a trailer with a couple dirt bikes for behind the bronco.
  14. Got the beige on the monte. Get the gold on in a couple days.
  15. Would like to submit my entry for the 2020 cannonball run. The 73 mustang that Steven Seagal drove in the movie Marked for death.?
  16. So would like to submit my entry to the 2020 cannon ball run. Here it is. John Hatcher / Steven Seagals 1973 mustang from the movie Marked for death.?
  17. I agree great looking paint job!!!! ??
  18. thanks?
  19. Thanks It was a bit of a challenge (amt). over all looks pretty OK.
  20. I took a pair of wider wheels that I new I would never use. Same diameter as the cragar. Judged about how wide I wanted to go and cut that much off the wheel. Then removed the bead from the narrow cragar and glued what I took off the wider wheel to it. I have done this with several sets of wheel. Most kits nowadays don't come with staggered wheels, and I am partial to the old school wide back narrow front.
  21. Thanks the rear wheels are ones that I widened.
  22. Moving on to the 80 monte. Got it primed.
  23. Thanks. The color was something I dug out of the paint cabinet. Don't even remember what I originally got it for.
  24. Just finished this one AMT 69 chevelle? Not perfect but came out pretty OK.
