  1. Made a little progress on the 49. Wheels painted, engine wired, built a hood scoop for it. Tried to make scoop look like a home made that someone just threw together from sheet metal. Gonna try to stay old school weekend warrior kinda thing with it. Gonna do a basic roll cage and cut out the door panels and do smooth ones. As always, feel free to comment.
  2. DITTO !!!
  3. So dug another one out of the stash that I started probably 10 years ago. Would like to put in the BOYD. Doing a gasser. So far have the cadillac engine that came with the kit. Scratch built headers and an injection set up from a sprint car. Wheels are from ebay. Thanks for lookin. as always comments are always welcomed.
  4. Scratch built this one to put behind 66 suburban, and to see if I could do it.? No inside detail, but have plans to build another some day.
  5. I believe its the fact that your primer wasn't cured before you top coated. I had the same thing happen on a monte carlo that I had painted two tone. Both colors were duplicolor and both cracked. But I had tried to do the hole paint job in like two days. Stripped it and the second time around I let everything stand for at least three days before applying next color. Then it came out great.
  6. OMG!! Throw the saws in the back and lets go cut a load of wood. Love it!!! ??
  7. I used an old mid 70s 4x4 step side chevy for the drive train components and kept the 66 chasis.
  8. The trim itself is styrene strips. Then bare metal foiled.
  9. Not going to to do either one. This is the plow truck, but I used the plow on a dodge dumper I scratch built a couple years ago. Also happen to have a unimog spreader that some day is going to go in the dodge dumper.
  10. Nice work?! I had to fight the bumpers on the one I just finished also.
  11. My start for 2021. Gong to be a bug out. Scratch building a camper shell, Put a 7.3 powerstroke in it. Hoping to have fun with this one and see where it goes. Comments welcome.
  12. Finished up one more before the end of 2020. Hope every one has a good New Year, and pray it gets better for us all. As always, comments always welcome.?
  13. Made a little more progress on the GMC. Got the engine bay painted as well as the inside of the box. Also got some of the moldings foiled. The roll bar is from the F250 kit. Think I'm going to ditch this hood and go back to flat one.
  14. Thanks for all your comments, and hope everyone has a healthy and happy holiday.?
  15. The blue is rust-oleum 2x spa blue, the white is 2x and so is the clear. Have had pretty good luck with it so far. Thanks for the comments.?
  16. Finally got the hood done and painted and everything cleared. After getting a path shoveled to the shop. Now on to getting the moldings foiled. Thanks for lookin.?
  17. Got dusting the other day. This was sitting in the back corner of the case so I took a few pics. I built this for my father in law back in 92. It was of the first brand new truck he had ever bought. Upon his passing in 2015 my mother in law returned it to me, and told me that this and the 1:1 that he still owned were two of his most prized possessions. The running boards and mud flaps were scratch built . Thanks for lookin.?
  18. Nice job Dale. Bean waitin to see this one done. I have two of them built, but not stock. One I did of my 1 1 cheyenne. Are those the wheels you got from me? I have another set of them still on the tree, if you ever need another set. ??
  19. Thanks. Good lookin Jimmy!!
