  1. Very nice! Neat kit, lotsa extras. Just like the one on Rebel without a Cause...
  2. Yup, looks great just like the bottom of all the cars around here! I worked in auto repair for years and have seen my fair share of rust and dirt, that looks like real stuff...
  3. After a another re entry in models again, I am amazed at how much the new issues of Kit's since I've been gone. I will be 61 years old soon, and it's fun to see a 57 Ford two door wagon here, as my dad had one, (red and white ). Back then it was just a second hand car for him but he did sell it to the guy he bought it from in 1957 as my father sold for the local Ford /Mercury dealership in town. It had a 312, engine 3 on the tree . I remember how the backup lights would light up only the bottom half as they had a diffuser to spread the light better, and how the inside door buttons were by the vent windows a Ford safety feature.. Sadly the car rusted away (upper Michigan winter's)..long gone, my Parents are gone, the house was sold, ahh, wonderful memories of my youth, that's why I'm back , gluing things together again... thanks....
  4. Awesome job!! Love those old Ford's
  5. I miss the smell of Floquil, but have grown a real liking to the aroma of fresh opened bottle of Tamiya acrylics, ... thanks
  6. Reminds me of the 73 VW I bought used at the local Chevy dealership, its interior was full of leaves, they gave it a "fluff and buff" looked much better.I remember how shocked I was to discover the battery under the seat with a little plastic cover for the positive cable to prevent shorting out the battery, then the real corker was the windshield washers powered by the spare tires air....? Keep the story going, love it......
  7. Ah,I love the smell of gear lube in the morning, nasty stuff, I love it too....!
  8. I really like it is this the current Revell kit shown in blue with flames on the box art ??? How about the wheels and tires are they also the kit issue?? thanks
  9. Wow very nice like the colors,,,
  10. That sounds like the way to go, it's like me to try to reinvent the wheel ?
  11. Will definitely wash like always before priming and painting, I don't have a small sandblasting cabinet, so I just stick the suction line in the baking soda and let it fly, makes a little mess but the wind blows it away. I thought the extra tooth in the plastic would make for a good paint bond..
  12. Sorry no photos,..yet..I found that a quick blasting of baking soda through my Milton solvent sprayer hooked up my out side air compressor works real nice for knocking off the shiny plastic finish on the undercarriage after removing the ejector pin marks on my 1961 Ford Galaxie. Will do on the rest of it prior to priming nice echeted finish...... thanks
