  2. Very interesting project! Look forward to seeing more updates.
  3. Thanks Richard. The other two trucks are not finished yet (work in progress). If you have a look at my Fotki albums you will see the progress to date.
  4. thanks for the comments. A 12V71 would be interesting, maybe in a later build. The wheels are from the kit. You can change them out if you wanted. But I thought I would stick with box stock for this build.
  5. Thanks for all the kind words. This was a very interesting project and one that I enjoyed a lot.
  6. I thought the model was the real thing when I first looked at the photo's. I am very impressed indeed. Excellent!

  9. An excellent example. I like it!
  10. I have a number of projects on the go at present. I'm in the process of building a small fleet trucks. All are the dark blue, white and light blue colour scheme. This W925 is number 9 in the fleet and has the rare extended cowl. the engine is the Clatterpillar 1693TA 425HP engine (big horsepower for the late 60s early 70s). It has a 5 speed main with a 4 speed auxiliary brown lipe transmission. The base kit is the AMT Kenworth T519. The trailer is the AMT Wilson livestock trailer. Thanks for looking. 12. That is a very impressive looking dump truck. Great work.
  13. Check with Dave Natal at AITM (www.aitruckmodels.com) and Eric at P & P vintage kits (www.ppvintagekits.com). They both offer a 12V71 Detroit and are both great to deal with. The engine in the super boss Kenworth is a 12V71TTA. It is I believe a marine version of the engine with a much higher output than the standard over the road 12V71. There were other suppliers (Hendrix) of resin 12V71s but I think they may no longer be in business. The moulds maybe the ones that Eric and Dave have.
  14. Excellent skills and two great looking builds. These will be very impressive when finished.
  15. Another excellent project! Great work.
  16. This is a very impressive looking truck! Excellent work.
  17. Very impressive build so far! I like it. Thats a good idea to use aluminium tube for the cylinders. I may try that myself sometime.
  18. That is impressive. the two shades of green work very well together with the chrome. I like it!

  22. Tony, Very impressive project, I don't know how I missed this one! The KFS kits certainly build into fine models. I have a couple of the KFS Michigan loading shovels to build some day. Just might have to get one out and start getting some ideas together.
  23. I am impressed. That looks real!
