  1. Yeah, but Testors mostly just reboxed kits and didn't many of their own.
  2. That's why there is a 3 second rule. You would at 70mph have to close up a 111ft per second gap (that is 333ft if you use the 3 sec rule) to even come close to contact with car in front, and there is a NTSB maximum stopping distance for vehicles on the road: which is something like 187ft at 60 to 0. So even your 5000 lbs tank should stop in time at a 3 second gap well short of a collision. I am getting somewhere between 131 to 124 60-0 on a 1990 F350 and 112 for a 2011 Corvette. Not a lot of difference. BTW my 21 year-old Porsche is 97ft which for the era had the best brakes in the world. Even that is a long way from a collision.
  3. I don't think Testors did it orginally. I vaugly remember that symbol on the tree: Esci maybe.. Bandi something like that. I think Entex. There is a better Pantera kit though, by Mauri.
  4. I think that is Racer Componets INC
  5. Yeah, but at least you don't have vampires flying in front of you causing you to crash into a ditch. http://www.kdvr.com/news/kdvr-vampire-crash-txt,0,4980779.story http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/24071692/detail.html http://www.nbc11news.com/home/headlines/97293489.html
  6. It is a stupid as the Adverse conditions answer. Seriously it's mostly 75mph around here and it does snow... and their correct answer is the Posted Limit. Okay then.
  7. It's always been three seconds, hence the "Three Second Rule."
  8. exactly my point. It is against the law in a four states I have lived in.
  9. Since when is it okay to pass on the right just because you feel like it... and I guess it's okay to go 75mph in a blizzard. No wonder there are so many idiots on the road.
  10. There are a whole bunch of missing links. Porsche 550 RSR Spyder Peugeot 908 Pangani Zonda Daimler Hemi Dart Gillet Vertigo Lancia Fulvia Jaguar E Coupe Weissman GT Coupe Lola LMP2 Coupes Daytona Prototypes V8 Supercars New TRVs to name a few
  11. BBs are no good. The too rust or corrode especailly in waterbased paints.
  12. I love mine too, it's the best way to mix paint. Even older settled paint comes out perfect every time. Flat black which like to settle the flat -silicon- is always like a brand new bottle of paint after a good mixing with the Badger mixer.
  13. I do clear over BMF, so I guess I am the oddball. I do it for two reasons. 1. and the main reason so the foil doesn't come off, get knocked off, or fall off. 2. I think it looks better cleared, and the edge where the foil has been cut looked a little more "finished".
  14. +1 great stuff and is said to be the exact same thing that is in Testors Red.
  15. It's a common reference to a distributor over at Rennlist.
  16. One is medium (gray)and one is fine (white). To be honest I have used both and can't tell a whole lot of difference between the two. I agree, the Squadron stuff is junk.
  17. I use autobody glaze or Testors red for the fine stuff and Milliputt two part.
  18. It was mind blowing. 1. It was the first purpose build rally car 2. Won three championships 3. It was the last rear wheel drive car to win 4. It is Italian, amazing it ever even finished. Although, funny thing about Ferrari in particular, the Factory could alway make there cars work. Privateers not so much. Not bad for most picking through the dumpsters at Fiat (example: headlights are actually from the Fiat X/19 and door handles in such are Fiat) and Ferrari who supplied engines from the defuncted Dinos.
  19. best thing to do when build pretty much any Stratos is cut the rear engine cover off then slide the chassis and interior in through the back.
  20. I always put it in mine, but people always ask if I am a model... and I tell no... I build plastic models. They are always like ah, I see - with some sort of puzzling disappointment.
  21. B29 Kee Bird Show was Frozen in time.
  22. No the blue lights are actually class leader lights for the AMLS series. remember some of these cars come directly over from AMLS
  23. AMLS Leader light The Proton Porsche GT car had one too. The side lights are the class leader lights 1 2 3 that are used at LeMans. IIRC it was originally developed by Audi and adapted by Le Mans(ACO).
