Side note, head light buckets were not blacked out on '68's.
I think they've done that to mitigate the effect of the woefully wrong grille and headlight buckets. I would have bought many more of these if they'd got the grilles correct and done something about the warpage problems.

This thread is the very definition of 'First World Problems". I'm sure the majority here know what they're getting with AMT reissues.

Hydraulic tanks are commonly mounted behind the cab e.g. https://www.hydraulic.ee/files/hyva/galerii/tehtud_tood/mb_actros_valsid/2013_07_29_16.39.30.jpg
If the trailer tanks are small and cylindrical, then they probably are air tanks.

Shame, but not that surprising. I've bought three Moebius kits (two Ford trucks and a '65 Plymouth) and all have warpage problems, the Plymouth being the worst.

Not buildable stock 🤔
Won't be long before someone suggests a stock vehicle that appeared in a movie. 🤦♂️

Most of his stuff is $8.95. The Canadian Ebay must show a different shipping cost. Now if he would only get some of the Freewheeling Bronco sheets in his store.
It says $41.25 shipping to the UK. For a sheet of decals. 🧐

My kit which is the reissue as shown below, has the fly eye air cleaner too.
Thanks, that's useful to know. I'll look out for an older issue. The reissue I have is the latest one with the "Streetburner" branding. That definitely has the stock Chevy air cleaner.

If you're looking for other wheels to put in your Parts Packs, I think you should give some serious thought to adding the ones from your upcoming Black Beauty kit.
Of course, after I just paid $$$ for a '67 Camaro annual. 😒

IIRC, the separate exterior door handles came along when the convertible was introduced. All of the coupes still have moulded-on door handles, but the chrome tree includes separate items.
The green Phase III kit was the first in the series of the Mark IV powered Camaro; the Zed was thee first of the then-new '69 Camaro from Revell (c.1990).
Kind of surprised --and perhaps a little disappointed-- that a 350-powered SS was never produced; only the 302 Zed.
The 'Hot Rod' Yenko Camaro was the first release with a big block The B-M version came a year or so later. The first issue in the 'Skip's Fiesta drive in' box had a nice fly eye air cleaner, but the reissue just has the standard one, which is disappointing.

I have an unbuilt double kit, but can't remember how much is left on the sprues. I'll dig it out later. If someone has a current Willys reissue to compare, it would be interesting to see what the pickup parts replaced.

Builds up good, but in my eye the front end looks wonky.
Agreed. Comparing with photos of the 1:1 and the old AMT annual, the front end looks blunt, the front fenders ahead of the wheels extend too far down and the grille/headlight area needs attention. I don't know about the convertible, but the fastbacks made after the GT350-R issue also have a huge gap in the panel under the grille that shouldn't be there (but lack the narrow slot that should be present). I've been working on correcting a Monogram Shelby but fixing one thing leads to another...

My post last night must not have gone through. The Roth Outlaw has a Cragar labeled 4 carb manifold. The Parts pack 4 carb manifold is a bit different design, and has no labeling.
Thanks, I knew I'd seen one somewhere, hadn't got around to checking.

The four carb could be a Cragar, same as the one Ed Roth used on the Excaliber/Outlaw. (Cragar made speed equipment starting around 1930). I'm not positive but I believe Man-A-Fre came later, after Revell tooled most of the parts packs in 1962.
I could be misremembering, but I thought it had a Cragar logo moulded on it. I can check tomorrow if nobody else gets there first.
AFAIK, Man-a-Fre intakes were only made for Chevies and used modified Rochester 2GC carbs.

I don't care about the 1/20 scale, but do wonder if those kits would generate interest, if they were scanned and resized in 1/25th scale and if it would be technically possible to do so.
Yes, I would much rather see that 1/20 Econoline reproduced in 1/25. On the subject of scanning kits where the tooling is gone/altered, it would be nice to have the '70s Dodge vans back as well.

Long shot, but I need a stock hood for a '64 Wildcat and a decent shape hood for a '61 Chevy pickup (has the Apache emblems on the hood sides). I have a lot of parts, engines, wheels etc for trade.

Late to the party, but for anyone else building this, that "reinforcement plate" is the gearbox mounting, so it goes under the tailshaft of the gearbox like so.

The parts pack/Miss Deal Hemi is a later 331/354, not the early 331 with the long bellhousing. That early type is really obvious, like the integral bellhousing on an early Olds V8.

Aside from the different wheels, shifters and diff covers, the chrome sprues aren't identical if you look closely. I wonder if the mould insert with the slot wheels remained the US when the tooling was shipped off to produce the black version?

This is the chrome sprue in the original annual issue (grille & bumpers fell off):
And the rest:

I wonder if the 1/12 iteration is far behind...? That'd be sweet -- even sweeter if period correct aftermarket rims and customised engine parts (e.g. , Cal Customs rocker arm covers, etc.) were created for it (keep the 80's stuff, too, for those whom wish to install the [neat] Moroso 'covers , and the Cragar SS/T wheels) .
Probably too much to hope for that they correct the 8 bolt valve covers. Does the 1/25 '67 have that problem as well? I know the '68-'69 kits do.

The latest Revell '70 is horribly bloated compared with the old MPC and Johan bodies. I wouldn't hold out much hope for an accurate '71.

I think you mentioned in the 2021 Round releases topic there was also the "ACCelerator" version, too, which is where the funky wrap-around windscreen (first?) appeared:
That was in the original issue. I had a Frog boxing of it, now sold, and I still have a glue bomb rebuilder.

Hmmmm. He's still go the Bel Air trim on the door, which makes me question the accuracy of the rest of the thing.
Also, the belt line Bel Air trim, and the vent windows. The body is the easy part anyway.

That facet on the leading edge of the hood/fenders looks way overdone, but I guess it can be reprofiled. It almost looks like they copied the '70 hood without taking account of the taller '71 grille.
