  1. Gary wallace sells the extended r700 hood which this truck used, but mack extended the cowl at the factory to make room for the v12. so i will be using the hood from the kit to make the cowl extensions.
  2. So i saw one of these super rare macks at macungie truck show a few years back and have always thought it was hads down the coolest truck ever built. The mack RS-771L and RL-771L were only built for a few years in the early 70's and came factory with a 12v71 detroit!!

  5. Great idea using a removable pin for the cab/hood hinge.
  6. Nope didnt sand them or prime them just went over everything with the pen. I noticed the heavier you put it on the more it looks like a mirror. I also painted the wheels gloss black first to see if it helped and it doesnt seem as bright as when i just put it on bare plastic.

  9. Little update. Just need to finnish up a few minor parts and it will be finnished.
  10. Dang thats pretty cool man! i like that its a twin screw day cab. Perfect frame lenth and brockway used mack cabs those years so u never know maybe they used more mack parts lol
  11. Lol yeah i almost passed because it was a 1/43 scale, but i liked that it had the twin boom holmes 750 so i figured ide give it a shot and glad i did. Very cool model for sure.
  12. Found the front axle and glued on the fuel tank, stacks and grille..need to touch up the outline of the grille mesh once its dry.

  14. Chromed everything i can think of at the moment. Glued the rear wheels on and lost my front axle so i guess ill have to look for some rod to fit the front wheels.....
  15. Thankyou, im building a mack r700 with a v12 detroit under the hood. Im getting the hood from gary so im gonna get the v12 from him as well. Hope myin turns out as nice as ur international did.

  19. Yes thankyou, i ordered a 1mm and 4mm yesterday so cant wait to try it. Going to try the alclad this weekend on the wheels
  20. Little more progress..painted the roof and wheel flares for the wrecker body
  21. Really like the way you drilled and put pivot pins in the 5th wheel.
  22. That would probably work best if its in a pen since these parts are so small def gonna look into that. I bought some alclad II chrome to try in my airbrush so maybe ill just use that on my other 1/25 scale trucks im going to start soon..thanks for the tip!
  23. Thanks guys...yeah heres a little more progress. Interior is in primer and will be going brown leather. Also waiting for the front cabinet on the wrecker body to dry. Hopfully ill get all the chrome done over the weekend.
  24. Lol yeah its def a blast. There was a guy that had the 3 pack on ebay. Came with the kw k100, 359 peterbilt tractor and the pete 359 wrecker im doing
