  1. Beautiful work!! Love the colors and finnish is perfect what clear coat did u use?
  2. Looks awsome jim! Will be building myin after i finnish the r model im building
  3. Yeah i belive u are correct with the fenders. Unless that was only for the eastcoast r700s that had standard r grilles where the very early weast coast hoods were styled kind of like the valuliner in with the raised part in the center of the hood and the west coast grille Prob wrong, but Honestly i need a break from reading my brain hurts from trying to figure out all the tiny details haha..one thing ive noticed is non ofthem had the body line i circled so i will be removing that.
  4. The hood and engine came in today from gary! Also got a r cab and dm600 cab courtesy of brian. So i will be assembling the engine soon and will be cutting up some cabs to make the correct short steel dash cab as a member on the mtb forum brought to my attention .
  5. Yep all three wheels and the tires are from jamie.
  6. Nice that flex pipe looks about as real as it can get
  7. Yep there jamie's front springs. They look great, way better than the ones in the kit.
  8. Assembled the chassis today..took alot of sanding to get parts to fit right but its finnally together..might stretch the frame a couple inches once i get the engine and hood fitted.
  9. Color looks awsome on the chassis ?
  10. Thanks man didnt know he had a new website....definitely a great vendor
  11. Thanks man trucks almost done just need to paint marker lights, and get some string for the cables. The peg board is from a company called wall control. Awsome product and they sell all different size panels with different hooks, shelfs, clamps. I got my setup on ebay for 70 bucks shipped i think..came with 3 panels and a bunch of hooks, holders, and shelves. Great deal for sure.
  12. Dang thats terrible.. hope hes ok now.. im sure this will definitely put a smile on his face
  13. Since this truck would have came with a steel dash i picked up a dm 600 interior and trimmed the front to fit the r cab and made a small filler plate to fill the spot that was cut out for the motor when used on the dm. Once the glue dries ill sand it the front edge flat.
  14. Looks like its going to be a really cool project. Sorry to hear about your uncle, im sure he will love a replica of what he used to drive.
  15. Its definitely going to be a two tone and frame and chassis will match the lower part of the two tone. Thinking blue and black with blue chassis, blue and a cream/tan with blue chassis, or a orange and cream/tan with orange chassis
  16. Little update. I got my order today from moluminum and i gotta say jamie makes some great looking parts! Will def be going to him again. I got a few sets of each style front wheels since im not sure wether i want wide spokes or the wide aluminum wheels on the front. Will have to see how they look after the cab and hood are mocked up on the frame.
  17. Like that color scheme alot. Cool restoration.
  18. Looks great man!! Using the real stuff really sets the engine off thats for sure.
  19. That thing is sweet man...ive seen a few videos on youtube about these. They also use them on logging rigs to get down the mountains sround the swtich backs. Very cool stuff.
  20. Nice ill keep that in mind. I talked to dave from aitm yesterday and he said he has two different models and he would get back to me when hes back at his shop. Thankyou for the offer will let you know if dave has what i need.
  21. Really coming together jim! Looks great
  22. Man this thing is sweet! I really like those wheels!
  23. Yeah they are a true beast! And yeah let me know that would be cool. When he gets off the road i will be getting a auxilary trans off of him.
  24. Yeah they really make you take a double take and go wait what?!! Haha
  25. Yeah i just sent out the order today for the engine and hood so im very exited to see them and put the detroit together..ive seen a bunch of 8v71s, 8v92ta's and even a 3408 under the hood of r700's, but that blue truck was the first and only v12 ive seen in a mack. Probably not very popular on the east coast im guessing.
