  1. Hi Francis! Thank you. If there's one person who I tought might notice that... It's YOU! The unit is out of a 68 Charger kit, and was just the right width. Of course, a 9" Ford would have been more "politically correct", but as you know, I like to scramble eggs once in a while! LOL. CT
  2. Hi! Well, it confirms my perception. Breathtaking work, bravo! CT
  3. Thank you Oliver! To your point: the 68/69 Tbird is very rare indeed. Almost impossible to find as an annual kit. However, this very body came from the Allison engined funny-car that Model King (AMT) reissued a few years ago. I was fortunate to find one at 30$! So.... swap the roof from the 71 Bird of paradise recently issued kit, and voilà! CT
  4. Hi Howard! Thanks for the pics. Mucho quality here! CT
  5. Hi Greg! Thank you for the comments. I'd like to have a patent on those, but alas, I thing they are too "generic" to merit one. However, they allow for the engine compartment to be seen without having the view blocked by the hood. CT
  6. Hi Sir! Thank you for the report. It appears that the science of buiding unique bases (or pedestals) for models is an art form in your neck of the woods. Impressive! CT
  7. Salut Mario! Wow, the paint is spectacular. Bravo! Hope to see in at the Trois-Rivières show this sunday. CT
  8. Hi Thomas! Good clean fun, bravo! CT
  9. Salut Mario! Thank you. Hope to see you at the Trois-Rivières model show next sunday. CT
  10. Hi Phil! Thanks for the pics. Many interesting ideas here! CT
  11. Hi Eric! James is right: the solvents in hobby enamels and lacquers are not the same. The effect you got is called "boiling" (or blistering) of the color coat when the hotter lacquer clear hits it. I'm afraid you'll have to remove the paint on the body and start again, this time staying with color coats that are compatible with Testor's lacquer clear. If you are using the blue label Testor lacquer clear, its viscosity and "hotness" are worse than the brown label Wet Look Extreme lacquer (both by Testor's). Good luck! CT
