Hi Stef! Spectacular concept. Bravo! I suppose the only thing that could stop this war machine is... a speed bump? CT -

Hi! The famous Boyd Coddington built a series of remarquable phantom hi-tech rods in the early 80's for customers such as Vern Luce, Larry Murray, Don Smith and others. It made great impression on me. Then lately, Roy Brizio grabbed an AMBR with a semi-traditionnal Ford 32 Phaeton. The gods of styrene were talking to me in my sleep! So... Take an AMT 32 4-door Ford phaeton (which comes already sectionned!), transform it into a 2 door, create longer hood & side panels, a roof mixing the kit's front and a Cord 810 rear sections, scratchbuilt a custom frame and floorpan with inboard front suspension & dropped axle, a reverse-opening hood, shorter grille & shell, 351 Cleveland V8, Dodge Sidewinder IRS and rolling stock, Jag XK-120 seats, scratchbuilt door panels, pedals, windshield, mirrors, scratchbuilt gas tank, intake, electronic ignition, headers, exhaust, wiring & hoses, brakes, etc. 59 Caddy tail lights. Krylon almond gloss coat, with crusty rust weathering + Testor's dull coat lacquer. custom AK Lacquer mix interior. Revell's (spray) and Molotow's chrome accents. Remember: "all that shines is not gold, all that rusts is not rotten"... Hours of fun with styrene. CT

Hi Tim! Thank you. To your point about the interior panels: as you know all too well,,as much as the outside of those "old" models is great, sometimes AMT's casting are very irregular on the inside. Thickness of panels vary, so fitting inner panels in a manner that is identical on both sides is often difficult. Look at me here: complaining? LOL CT
