You're right about the pics. I didn't do anything on my end(that I know of)to delete them. Perhaps it's something to do with the site itself on how long pics can be up in a message? When it comes to this computer stuff, it beats the heck outta me!!! Tim

Mark, What you're doing and showing here is exactly what I am talking about. Not only are there VERY useable parts to be used as is, but they are easily modified. Many parts are just as easy to fabricate like you show with the traction bars! TimP

Steve, I just picked up a resin body of that. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it just yet. Might go 'curbside' with a "Lil Screamer" build or go with some generic build. Anyway, great job on your build! TimP

In my opinion, the best SINGLE source for gasser parts is the new Revell gasser kits. I'm talking the Maz & SWC models here. However, many of the "Gasser" components can easily be fabricated from various materials on hand. Brass/aluminum tubing for straight axles, sheet plastic & metal for springs, tubing for shocks and on & on. Hope this helps. TimP

Jack, These are wonderful!! Glad you posted 'em. Like you, the 'Cuda is my favorite from this series. TimP

Jack, I don't normally take to green cars, but this one knocks me socks off!!! TimP

Hi Jack, Thank you for the kind words, buddy. Yeah, I was messin' around with this just getting a feel for the big scale again. I built a couple when I was a kid and wanted to see what I could do now. I think it came out waay beyond my original expectations. If it's the Mura Bros. PU you're talking about, it's just about done! Give me a week or 10 days and I'll have pics of it to post here. The paint work is NOT my best, but wait until you see the detail stuff I made!!!! I was going to GSL this week, but a family illness is preventing that this time. In fact we just canceled the reservations just before I came here. TimP

Jim, Thank you for the kind words! Yeah, that 'raffle' deal was quite the HOOT!!! Boy, if it wasn't for bad luck during that I wouldn't have had any luck at all! We always try to make the raffle a fun deal evey year. The guys who play along know we're only trying to raise more money for the show. Their raffle actually brings in the 'Lion's share' of revenue for them. Glad you made it this year and it was good to see ya, again. Tim

Gang, Finally drug this off to the Desert Scale Classic VII model contest last weekend in Phoenix. I guess I fooled the judges once again as I managed a First Place in Nostalgia Drag Class, the Best Engineered award and snuck off with the Best of Show trophy too!! All of that for just an 'ol dragster. Who'd a thunk it? What is this world coming to, letting a car like THAT win? Thanks for checking this out! TimP

Hey Tom, That sure looks familiar!!! It was a pleasant surprise to do as well as I did there. TimP

Yup, Andy pretty much hit it on the head. It's not like they dropped off the face of the planet beginning Jan.1, 1966 as you could still see them being used by the top teams early on during the season. However, by Jan., 1967, they were considered obsolete compared to the new tires and rubber compounds and the switch was on for the new tires. TimP

Wish my 4th 'foil job' had been this nice!! TimP

24" from ground to centerline of crank pulley as I recall. I just want to remind you that my memory is not as good as it used to be. Also, my memory is not as good as it used to be. Hope this helps. TimP

Terry, "Old guy's" opinions are THE only ones that count! From one 'Old guy' to another! TimP

Just gotta love them T-Bolts!!! TimP

SHEESH, all I was trying to say was c-r-a-p s-ho-o-t. Maybe this will work by spelling it out, or NOT!!! TimP

Actually, either way would work. BUT... as you are building a 'replica' you need to be right on the money as to what they had. All I can suggest is to do more digging and see if you can find more material on the subject you have chosen. With the info you have and have provided, it's as much a ###### shoot to us as it is to you! TimP

SWEET!!!!! I'm thinking about doing this in 1/8 scale this coming year. Probably start it in late summer. TimP

Nice, really nice. OK, I REALLY like it TimP
