  1. Hello Ken. I used classical technique. The base is brown and red, with a layer of varnish on it. (But there was a weak layer) I'm applying water and salt to it. Drying the application with background paint and yellow. Then I scrub the salt and get irregular abrasions. I'm still learning, so I'm choosing even not entirely good practices. I used the yellow Gunze GX, and it's too thick and a thick layer forms. My salt was getting badly removed. I wasn't very happy, so I still applied the orange and brown-and-red sintetics of Humbrol to the hood and the cork and did a correction with the diluent. I'm sure I won't use Gunze GX as my last color for other models. Of course, thank you nicely. :-)
  2. Hello, everyone. The model is designed to portray an old work car. Trumpeter's kit did well, beautiful and clean with embellishments, but the plastic doesn't stick well with solvent glue. A second adhesive must be used. Plastic also crumbles a lot. That's all from my pickups so far. I've got three more pickups set up on my desk, so I'll be adding gradually.
  3. Hello, everyone. Trumpeter's kit did well, beautiful and clean with embellishments, but the plastic doesn't stick well with solvent glue. A second adhesive must be used. Plastic also crumbles a lot. I used the wheels from 76 'Ford Torino by Revell. I attach photos in the sun and in the shade.
  4. Thank you so much Keith. :-)
  5. Hello, everyone. The model is intended to feature a redesigned car with a redesigned and reduced chassis. The model has a slightly lower quality, too. I couldn't decide what wheels to put, so I changed it over time. He currently has wheels in chrome. : -)
  6. Hello, everyone. Because of this model, I started building American cars because a few years ago I had a metal model in the 1 / 18 Mercury Marauder of 1964 and again I wanted to buy it, but I came across this Electra 225 in search. With its shapes, it reminds me a lot of Marauder. So I started buying AMT. The kit is worse with the quality of the moulds, shakes everywhere, probably old forms. But again a big plus, both the body and the chassis were not twisted at all. I like the unique body, interior, bumper and chassis assembly system. It was all for each other and screwed in four screws. Perfect system for me. The rearview mirrors weren't, so I refilled the side from the junkyard. I still have a second Electra 225 unbuilt, so I'm looking forward to it again.
  7. Thank you so much, Bruce.
  8. Hello, everyone. The Eldorado by Monogram is probably a bit of a rarity now. For how old the kit is, it's very high-quality and detailed, beautifully worked and a massive front and back mask with a bumper. It built impeccably, everything fit beautifully. Except for two things. 1. The body was into the propeller, and even the roof wasn't quite OK. But an easy fix. The immersion in boiling water and body straightened itself, to my surprise. The roof no longer quite. 2. Even with a nearly finished model, the chassis with the bodywork could not be clicked. I couldn't find what was in the way, the windows were right, they weren't pushed down, so I cut, sharpened, thinned and without result. Still the chassis peered under the lower edge of the body of about 3- 4mm. That's how it came down to the greatest power I had in my fingers and squeezed it in. That finally spoiled an otherwise nice impression of the kit. Black gunze paint, semi-dome roof, 2K varnish, chromium unpainted.
  9. Wauu! Very nice! This is what I want. :-) I can't wait for them to sell it at our place, too.
  10. Very nice work ! I'm going for him, too, but I'm a little concerned about the quality of the kit and how it'll all fit together.
  11. A fart car. Great !
  12. Cool adjustment. Nice work !
  13. Thank you again to everyone for very nice sentences. For Alan: Yes, somehow I imagined it might be a pickup truck used in drier climates, like the desert. :-)
  14. Thank you again to everyone for very nice sentences. :-)
  15. Thank you again to everyone for very nice sentences. :-)

  17. Beautiful car and beautiful clean work!
  18. Very nice and clean built Roadrunner!
  19. Very nice Plymouth Belvedere. He looks good in black. I love the shapes.
  20. Very nice !
  21. Thanks again to everyone. For Ray: Unfortunately, I build cars with cascades closed, so I don't deal with engines much. For Robert: Thank you for the observation. I found the big pneu too big, but never mind, I already have them assigned to the 40 'Ford Coupe I'd like to build as a dragster. : -)
  22. Very nice Mercury Cyclone.
  23. Thank you Ron. :-)
  24. Good work.
  25. I love these cars. I also have this Bel Air and I've been thinking about how to build it for a year. Very nicely built.
