  1. Got the chassis and tires finished. Just need to paint the center hubs after the car is complete. Also, I have learned not to install the shark fin until the decaling is finished. I usually knock it off the car if I do it before. The tires wont be that shiny when the car is complete. I just finished applying the dull coat with a brush and they have not dried yet.
  2. Awesome job on both. Paint and decal work really top notch.
  3. Thanks, Bruce. I agree, its shiny , just not mirror shiny, which it doesn't need to be.
  4. Got the chassis pretty much finished. Got the body painted but don't know if I should just leave it or polish it. Thoughts?
  5. Wow, polished out nicely. Can you explain how the gravity polish kit works? is it just sandpaper or a combination of sandpaper and polishing compound?
  6. Some how I missed this one. Excellent job.
  7. Somebody asked me once how I lowered these kits. What I do is drill new holes in the frame 1/8 inch higher than the original holes and remove the front of the engine. Cut 1/8 inch off the metal axles. In the back you cut 1/8 inch off the posts that represent the rear springs. That's all you have to do. It lowers the car and sucks the tires in under the fenders.
  8. Oops, somebody call the air marshal, but really nice build , Ken.
  9. Cool, finally get to see what a Toyota resin body looks like done. So far its looking awesome.
  10. Great job on the build. I bought that kit to do Wendell's last ride. Looks like I will need to get wheels and tires for it too.
  11. Thanks, Jim. I really appreciate the feedback.
  12. I think I have the body work done and the first coat of primer.
  13. That's what I hope I'm making. If the ref picture is what I think it is.
  14. Thanks , Jim. These snappers are always fun to mess with.
  15. Whats cool about the arca fords is that the car run in 2018 has 2013 nascar grille, headlights, and taillights.
  16. Snappers are a lot easier. But I still use glue to assemble them. Also you have to do some mods to the body to get them to look right.
  17. Thanks, David. Sadly there are no Ollies where I live.
  18. Thanks, Clint. I hope I got it some what correct and you got to show it to your father. This was basically the only picture I had to go by.
