  1. Probably need a pilot car and a permit, I suppose eh? 😂
  2. That trailer is going to be COOL!! Watching this one for sure.
  3. Thanks for the kind words my friend. And we can all learn from each other. Thats a great philosophy. 👍👍
  4. Nice build. It came out perfectly ! You nailed this one!
  5. I REALLY like the way this came out, Ron . There are some good ideas I will file for a future build. Super nice job ! Great color too. Take a bow !
  6. Great update, Ron….. what ‘hose’ material are you using? I find hoses are a little bit difficult to source. Yours look great. And will really shine under a shot of paint. Keep going , this is really coming along nicely.
  7. Those CTM fittings are little jewels albeit very delicate bit really adds the fine detail. Love them. Your plumbing looks top drawer pal. Good choice on the tore/ wheel combo too and the hinges are just cool. Another level of great detail. Have you got a color scheme finalized? This is going to be the ‘muscle’ of the fleet !
  8. My brain doesn’t believe what my eyes are seeing. This is just incredible. So much detail and such accuracy. Another world class build on this site. What a pleasure to watch come together. This is just too cool for words.
  9. There are not enough superlatives for this build. World class scratch building skills. Epic ! A massive tutorial in scratch skills.
  10. That is so cool !! And it turned out perfectly !! I may have to give that a go, on my next A/C build ! Good job , Bud !!!
  11. Love the wheel and tire combination. Those floats are my go to. We had the exact ones on our tandems. They could be a little bit noisy at times but were really good tires. We got lots of miles on them. No cupping or excessive wear, worked well and look great. This truck is going to be the big lifter so to speak. It sure has the right look, and that rubber makes it !
  12. Well, I managed to find a few minutes to hit the bench and cobbled up a reasonable facsimile of a hydraulic asphalt pump. Some different sized tubes an end cap and a couple of Bren’s awesome fittings and a hydraulic fitting from CTM. Under a splash of paint and hoses connected it shud be passable.
  13. Thanks for your kind words and confidence in this build. You are so right Steve, the quality of the parts are top notch. This whole back end could be a kit all on its own as it is very comprehensive. Thanks for checking in. I hope to have some progress soon.
  14. The mock up is great. She will look a real tough old school heavy hauler. Just like they should be. Like this one
  15. Thanks for this Ron. I know a lot of work went into this comprehensive list. This is a great piece of useful information that will help with the purchase of the aftermarket wheels and tires ! Well done. Thanks for you hard work !
  16. No kidding, a new experience, and a fantastic one at that, this whole thing has come together amazingly............. there is a lot going on here.... and it is exciting, I never thought an idea would germinate into something as cool as all this.... good bunch here !!
  17. I have been quietly watching this come together, Ron. I like where this is going and as JM says that bullbar looks great and makes a custom fit. Your headache rack is a great design and well thought out. I may have to borrow that idea for a future build. Everything looks spot on. This is a really nice build. I struggled with the sleeper roof on my build , but yours looks to be a very smooth clean fit. I really like this. Another enjoyable build thread.
  18. I do all of the above and have even tried white table vinegar with success as well. I also have Mr Mark softener. Sometimes a variety of supplies are needed. 🙄
  19. I have to say , your design skills are superlative. Especially with the lousy dark photos you had to work with, the details are incredible and as you say, Bren’s printer does incredible fine detail. This being my first real foray into the 3d world in a large was has me in awe and somewhat mesmerized. With your comprehensive ‘instruction’ booklet , I will have no trouble putting all the pieces in the right place in the right sequence . Thank you so much for sharing your awesome talents. And yeah, no pressure🫢
  20. That would be cool. 🤭🤣
  21. Thanks Brian. Yeah I may need another bottle or two for sure. I had no idea there would be this many highly detailed parts! And yes all ‘tarred’ up. 🫢😉
