What did you see on the road today?
RSchnell replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
On my way to get a cheesesteak saw this Valiant Wagon at an apartment in Cocoa Beach, FL. Also saw a nice '32 Ford 3W Coupe street rod, but was unable to get a pic. -
Stopped by Ollie's for some household stuff. A couple more kits somehow fell in the buggy & I didn't realize it until I got to the register.

The price of something model related actually went down?
RSchnell replied to SDC's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Publix has gotten excessively expensive post pandemic. I'm shocked that they lowered the price on anything! I worked in the maint. shops there for 9 years. They used to give us freebies, they even cut all that out. I used to joke with my boss "y'all don't pay me enough to be able to afford shopping there." Unless it's changed, they used to make all their publix branded lunchmeats right there in the deli plant. Occasionally I'd have to go over there and recover a broken down piece of equipment. -
This show was held at the museum that I posted yesterday. My first visit to this event, I was floored at not only the quantity but variety of cars at the show. Being a yearly event, if you're anywhere near the Space Coast of Florida I highly recommend visiting. This is a small sampling of the 200+ shots I took using my Nikon D7500. Seeing the Mercury Ute on this side of the world was a nice treat as well.

This museum is actually a private collection that is only open for special events. It was hard to get good photos due to the layout and the crowd, but I managed to get a few good ones. Here's some selected shots from my visit earlier today. Where else can you see a roundtable of Ford GT's as you walk in the door?

I'm pleased that in a little over 24 hours I'll be able to visit this museum that I've been trying to get inside for years. The only open it for special events and even then it requires a donation to view it. A very nice collection of some very nice cars. I plan to get lots of photos of the museum & related car show Saturday. Will post some here of course! https://www.americanmusclecarmuseum.com/cars-by-make.html

Not really, I think it's a reissue of the old 70's Monogram kit. Not bad, but not that challenging either.

They need to clearance their entire stock and bring in fresh inventory. I don't see that happening though. My local HL had nothing on clearance either.

Michaels getting rid of models?
RSchnell replied to gbdolfans's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Michael's in my area only has 4 kits and minimal paint selection. I wouldn't even bother with stopping in but it's next to the Aldi that I frequent. The Ollie's across the street has a better kit selection- even on the times when they have no kits! LOL -
Ollie's strike again
RSchnell replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
On another aisle they had several Atlantis kits marked at $19.99. Ships, Missiles, etc. That's close to full retail price on those! LOL -
Ollie's strike again
RSchnell replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ollie's in Merritt Island, FL got a few new kits in. Nothing earth shattering, but if you're in the neighborhood..... I may go back & grab another '40 Ford Coupe. -
