  1. They scale out around 1/20. In addition to the Model A's, they also did a series of 1932 Chevrolets, Model T Fords Packards, Duesenbergs. Gabriel later issued these kits and in the late 80s JE Scale Models got the molds. I'd love to know where they are today. Here's the wikipedia link which gives the history better than I can. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hubley_Manufacturing_Company
  2. Local thrift store that I frequent really came through today. Proof even a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while. As some of you know, I'm a big Model A guy. I collect Model A kits, especially the old Hubleys. I buy all of them I can find. This one followed me home for $10. Missing the instructions but the all important screws(Hubley kits used oddball sizes and thread pitch) are there & complete.
  3. '66 Monaco in WalMart parking lot....
  4. Nice 70s Thunderbird parked. You don't see many of these around here.
  5. I hope someone makes aftermarket parts such as '59 & grill & hood. I'd love to be able to build a replica of the '59 F-350 I had. Very excited for this kit to hit the shelves. A squarecab kit has been sorely needed.
  6. A Crown Vic is one of those cars that look good, stock, custom, etc. If there's one car I have loved since day 1, it's 1955 Fords. My Dad had a bunch of them over the years, I've owned around 30, everything from Wagons, Sedans, Hardtops, and a rough as a cob Courier. My Dad had a black & white '55 Crown and a yellow & black '55 Ford Convertible that my mother would drive us to school in often. I have a pic of the Crown somewhere, but here's the convert.
  7. A couple I was able to get photos of. Now that the humidity level is dropping here on the east coast of FL the goodies are starting to come out more.
  8. The sheet says the decals are printed in Italy. My bet is they're made by Cartograf, in my opinion the best in the business when it comes to decals. I've used quite a bit of them on aircraft.
  9. I didn't post any of the OT stuff, but here's a couple more I have. Usually this show has a pretty good selection of car/truck kits in the vendor section, but it was kinda lacking this year. Still not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning.
  10. 1942 Desoto. Pretty rare!
  11. Not as many car kit vendors this year, but some of the contest entries were really well done. The Aston Martin I thought was an incredibly clean build. Here's a few random photos.
  12. Picked up a few things at the Modelpalooza show today. The '66 Galaxie convert was a nice surprise, the '63 Merc is an empty box but for $5 I couldn't pass it up. The 1/16 '57 Corvette was $10 so it followed me home as well.
  13. I'd like to know what happened to the '56 Buick they were planning on bringing back. An email to them about it got no reply.
  14. I could be interested in this. No connection other than a customer, but Three Inches Under makes a lot of stuff that would pair well with this kit- https://www.threeinchesunder.com/search?q=1/25&page=2
  15. I'm still having the same problems with not being able to leave likes & going to the next page in a thread. I'm on Chrome as well.
  16. The Merritt Island, FL Ollie's kit selection looked like it was frozen in time from the photos I took last week. Nothing new and not much sold of existing stock. Where's all the resellers? LOL I even walked out of there empty handed!
  17. Had a couple 40% Michaels coupons about to expire:
  18. I think we're already seeing that. Usually Ollie's kits get wiped out pretty quick, but seems like these have been lingering on the shelf. Be interesting to see how many Ollie's kits show up at Modelpalooza in Kissimmee in 3 weeks!
  19. I take the easy & cheap way.. I store my loose parts in Vans shoe boxes and ziploc bags. The shoe boxes have flip top lids and stack nicely, saving room. The ziploc bags allow me to see everything in the bag easily without pawing through a drawer of loose parts. I'm still unpacking from the move so no photos, but here's a stock photo of the boxes I use.
  20. Merritt Island, FL Ollie's did a restock. I grabbed a few of the Nova Wagons and a '72 Chev pickup.
  21. The local Ollie's had some new kits out, picked up a few. The '32 came from Michaels with a 30% off coupon, their selection is poor but it's next door to the grocery store so it makes it easy if I want one of the 4 kits they carry!
  22. Saw this rough as a cob Chevy II on my to get a Cheesteak & this Unibody Ford Pickup within a couple miles of each other. The Ford still had a Y-block judging by the exhaust. Also saw a nice AMX but unable to get a photo.
