  1. As a photographer who does it for income, there is no reason to blur out the names. In public there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. It's no different than me posting a business card on those little bulletin boards you see in restaurants. You shouldn't have any problems!
  2. My favorite BBQ place here locally is getting ready to close for the summer so I went all out and got the sampler platter. Walked outta there stuffed!
  3. I'm a big fan of Berlin School/Krautrock and this has been getting heavy rotation lately.
  4. My wallet is safe again this month. I'm hoping they dig more stuff out of the archives that hasn't been reissued 10 times in the past 20 years!
  5. The one ton Ford is a friend of mine's and hasn't moved from this spot since 1997. Note the cactus growing out of the cowl vent! The red '62 Galaxie was a pleasant surprise. I owned an identical car back in the late '90s- 390/4spd except mine was an XL and this is a base model. I tried several times to buy this car to no avail, even waving a handful of $100 bills didn't work! Oh well there will be another one....
  6. That's a nice looking '56! I always wanted an early Bird until I built one for a customer. One of the most uncomfortable cars I've ever driven. C1 Corvettes are a tight fit too, but there's ways around it with a C1, with a 55-57 Bird you don't have much recourse if you're 6ft 230 lbs like I am.
  7. My build time is limited to mostly weekends and the odd day off here & there. I do get in a slump and since I build multiple genres(cars/trucks, Aircraft & Space and the odd naval vessel or two) I switch to a different build Ie- from a car build to aircraft. Usually have several projects going at the same time so it's easy to transition from one to the other. I'm fortunate that all 3 of my almost grown kids build as well and us hitting up a model show/swap and pizza afterwards is always good to keep the creative juices flowing.
  8. Chrsyler was doing that in the '30s and I think some GM designs did as well.
  9. I've been meaning to get down that way and visit this museum. Your pics only reinforce that! Looks like a varied collection. If it's open, the House of Refuge by Stuart beach is a neat place to visit.
  10. I used to work for the company that made those offset T-arms in the back. I probably built 500 of those and 1500 or so rear bearing supports! Good folks to deal with.
  11. Nice looking bikes! I've been toying with the idea of getting an older Heritage for something to knock around on, but traffic here in central FL has gotten so bad.
  12. When in town, the ladyfriend & I will do an excursion on the local gambling boat. I'm not much of a gambler, but it's cheap fun to go out for the night and people watch!
  13. Didn't feel like cooking, decided to hit my favorite Tex Mex place. After groceries, walked down to the beach to enjoy an after dinner cigar.
  14. I was in the vintage car/Corvette restoration business for years. I don't do much of it now, just "by invitation". Here's a few of the cars I've done over the years. I built the '61 Corvette from a basket case and enjoyed it for several years until someone offered me more than I thought it was worth. LOL The '69 Falcon wagon was a factory 302 with A/C car. I kept the body as is but the mechanicals were top notch. The Model A Pickup was my shop truck for many years.
  15. Here's a couple of me- The first one is me at 16 with my grandfather and the Model A A-400 we restored- the first car I painted. The second one is me a few years back selling some of my Corvette parts stash at an NCRS Regional show.
  16. Stopped in a local LHS that had tons of secondhand kits. Evidently the owner sold all those to another shop and is concentrating more on R/C. He did have a couple shelves of new kits and scored these for $20 each. May go back and get some more at that price.
  17. Evidently that van I posted above has been around. Here's a link to some interior photos I found. https://fordauthority.com/2020/06/groovy-74-ford-econoline-custom-van-is-like-a-veritable-time-capsule/
  18. Out running errands and spotted a few goodies: Out of all these my pick would be the Squarecab Ford!
  19. Went to a local model show and picked up a few goodies. '57 Pontiac sedan resin body(if anyone knows the maker I'd love to know!), paid $5 ea for the '60 Comet, '62 Fairlane and '60 Merc convertible annuals to add to my growing collection of annual projects to restore, 60% of a 1/12 '67 Monogram Corvette for $10. Not pictured 2 1/16 Entex Model T Ford kits and an MCW 1951-52 Oldsmobile Sedan kit. My 2 sons went with and we stopped for pizza afterwards. Not a bad way to spend the day!
  20. I live in central Florida and have a vacation place over on the east coast in Cocoa Beach. The effects of 1,000 people a day moving here from out of state is quite noticeable. People move here and bring their poor, aggresive, slow, etc driving tactics with them. It doesn't help I drive through the major tourist corridor(Disney world, Orlando) on a regular basis. It's at the point where I no longer ride motorcycles because it has gotten so dangerous with all the aggresive driving that has seen to be the new norm around here.
  21. I agree that this must be a regional thing, I haven't seen any kits in Wal Mart around here. Not a bad thing, I'm not interested in any of them with the exception of the Cal Drag combo.
  22. Here's a few more photos from this link. Looks like a varied collection. From Model A's to Ferrari and everything in between! https://www.classiccar-auctions.com/palmen
  23. This would be awesome if true! It's the first I've heard any rumors about one.
  24. Outstanding build! I haven't heard the name Liquid Ebony since my first entry into paint & body work back in the 80s, great stuff as long as you didn't let it dry on the surface.
