  1. That firewall is for 30- pre June '31 when they moved the fuel shutoff valve from inside the car to under the hood. 28-29 is different, and even then there are two different firewalls for 28-29, dependent on body. I thing Greg's method he posted would work quite well!
  2. Great video! They really packed a lot into a small venue. I got there around 9.30am and left by 12pm, it was mobbed at that point.
  3. Rode out some industrial areas after the model show today. Found a few goodies.... I'd love to have that Super Cab '76 Ford F-250.
  4. Hit up a local model show/swap earlier, photos in Show coverage forum. Didn't get any car kits aside from these 2 old Pyro kits for $5, bought solely for the nostalgia factor as I had both when I was a kid. Did hit the ten strike on adding to my Space & Vintage Airfix collections tho!
  5. Never seen the AMT LevaCar kit in person. I thought the paint work on that '58 Impala was exceedingly well done...
  6. Didn't know about this show until a few days ago. Primarily military, but managed to see some nice car entries. Here's a few photos. I didn't bring my regular camera, so excuse the poor quality cell phone pics!
  7. I'm in for the Bomarc as well. If the Atlantis version doesn't have Canadian Markings, let me know. I've got a couple extra sets from the Revell reissue I won't be using. The Sealab is a project of CultTVMan, I'm tempted to grab one!
  8. Goes nicely with the heavy orange peel in the paint!
  9. Just saw this on the Rocketfin website......
  10. At my place on the east coast of FL there are zero LHS within a 50 mile radius. There is a small LHS on the west coast of FL that I frequent, and his prices are quite good, cheaper than Hobby Lobby even with their 40% off. I recently had him order some Airfix kits for me, and he treated me right on those too. I buy from him as much as possible. I've said it before on this forum, I can't justify paying $30+ for a kit that's been out for years & reissued numerous times when I can go to a swap meet/model show and find the same kit for $10-15. About the only thing I order online are aircraft & space kits, I do most of my buying at shows & swaps.
  11. I'm in for a few of the '60 Ford Pickups! About time the Squarecabs got some love!
  12. About the only thing I'm interested in is the '62 Impala, the rest not so much.
  13. Saw this '32 Pickup at the pizza place earlier. Probably built in the late 80s and driven & enjoyed since. Rode out the neighboring industrial area & found this Falcon parts car & 40s Buick convertible next to it. And a couple others....
  14. My Dad had dementia issues after being under anesthesia. It never totally went away- he lived with it for the rest of his days. Some days he knew who I was, some days he didn't. That was tough. He would always ask me to "let's go for breakfast in your '56 Wagon"- I sold that car 14 years prior. While I don't have any sage advice to give, I do wish you the best and understand what you're dealing with.
  15. Nice 396 Chevelle at Ace Hardware earlier today. One of the better looking Chevelles, IMO
  16. That's one of my 3 holy grail 1:1 cars. I've owned every other body style of 1955 & 56 Fords, but the convert remains elusive!
  17. Hit the local cruise (with my regular camera, not my Fisher Price cell phone) earlier this evening. That 427 '66 Biscayne was a real treat to see, easily the rarest car at the show. The Mercury pickup is an uncommon sight this far south. Snowbirds brought it down with them. Here's some photos.
  18. My build desk ranges from clean & orderly to absolute pandemonium. My build time is limited, so I maximize by having 2-3 projects going at the same time. I'm in the process of getting ready to move, so the stash & non essential building supplies/materials are packed up.
  19. A few I spotted this morning while out & about. I never miss a chance to ride down an area looking for cars. Note the trees growing up around the side of that '65 Galaxie!
  20. Got a tip about a '55 Ford Station Wagon in a small industrial area. Rode it out this morning and found the wagon(no pics, trying to work a deal on it), but spotted these too. I'm pretty sure the cab is a late 20s Desoto.
  21. I've built a few of ICM's Model T's and like how their kits go together. As a Model A guy, I'm in for several of these!
