  1. Thank you Carl. Hoping to get this one across the finish line finally
  2. I have a plan in action David, test fitting and trimming to make it work.
  3. Sometimes simple is better.
  4. Took a short Break from the heat outside(don’t get a lot of nice weather here on the far east coast) and opened the box and mocked up the car since my last visit with it. I was not happy with the interior at all, and the channel with the tub was not sitting the way I envisioned it. So I removed that tub and have started fresh.
  5. Small update but a lot of work. Trimming the front crossmember and the sectioned grille shell for a better fit
  6. Time to pull this one out of hock!
  7. So in the middle of a North Atlantic thunderstorm I had an epiphany, that before I packed everything a way I created a box of parts called “details matter” and I. That box were some r&m parts and specifically some nice cast resin bits! But this particular item was not marked as a r&m item. So I dragged the ole brain transport out of the bunk and went searching for the box with those items. And lo and behold I found the box inside a larger box, that was buried in the bottom of a much larger box. And here it is a sectioned deuce grill shell! So seeing as how I was awake and had creative juices flowing I attacked the firewall with a measurement device and my finest jump to conclusions mat. Fired up my sharpest chop saw and savagely attached the firewall legs! the body itself required a small relief cut at the bottom of each side of the cowl to allow it to section over the frame. And to quote David Freiburger “Bam”
  8. They are now behind glass, they photograph better without the glass.
  9. Looks around build area, numbers check out!
  10. I’ll stick with the four from r&m, but thanks for the heads up!
  11. Engine selection has been confirmed!
  12. One from the idea board. Just have to put up the $$ for the gmc w/t grille to set the transformation.
  13. Well no actually this one is a resin firewall it was painted at the same time as my drag city casting four door body, but it was not used. The stock one from the new tool revell roadster kit was on a 5 window coupe but that has yet to resurface.
  14. Ok we have some work done! I have selected “channelled” as my style! I had a partially started frame and suspension mocked up from my first attempt at the new tool 32 roadster. So I may as well put it to use right. Next up is driveline choice; the “shudder” small block chebbie from the same kit or… this nice Hemi from the old 5 window kit with some tasteful upgrades compliments of Replica and Miniatures. Nice new valve covers and a four carb manifold? I’d like to use the beautiful stock firewall from drag city castings but with the channel I have to make some adjustments, I really don’t want to cut it. Recessed kit firewall may be used as a backup! still scrounging for some interior parts but may use the door cards from the Amt phantom Vicky.
  15. Sadly there are no IKEA’s in this province. I’ll find something locally I’m sure
  16. I’ll be in on this one, once I find all my obs stuff, still unpacking slowly from my cross country move. I’ll start with this one as I’ve already uncovered it!
  17. Thanks David, I’m on the hunt for another glass fronted case to put on top in the one I have.
  18. Well the boxes are empty and only had to repair a couple of loose mirrors, no damage woot! The downside is that I’ve run out of room for display guess I’ll have to stop building lmao. I still have 3 of the 15, 32 ford body styles to complete and I’ll have no room to display them ones finished.
  19. Thank you Al, it’s my second life’s work lol. If do a search of my threads, most if not all have better pics.
  20. Ok since I became active on the forums almost four years ago, I started with a mediocre amount of kits and had a couple of finished display pieces. That has snowballed into a large(ish) stash of kits and approximately 30 finished display pieces. Now on my third move( the biggest by far). Yesterday I set up a work area and today is the unboxing and repair of anything that may have been damaged in shipping( I was the shipper so hopefully not a lot, I’m expecting a loose door handle or a popped off mirror. I have a much larger display cabinet now to house them but atm it’s in a non display area. but it’s a start. I’m happy to be back at a place to build again and already I have a 32 on deck for a build. I’ll update with some more pics once I unload the built box and start the sorting for display.
  21. Well after a long round of scavenging I’ve sourced a suitable drivetrain. It’s one I had earmarked for another project but that one is a long way from seeing a bench. I’ll be dubbing the sedan the “Leftover” as it will comprise mainly of unused parts and bits scavenged from some stillborn ideas. I’m a long way off from actually starting any assembling, I still have to sort through the stack of boxes and see what else I can scavenge (no completed builds will be harvested I promise ( I did that a lot in my youth)). Stay tuned for a pic update soon.
  22. Ok, bench set up is complete and scavengeing has commenced. I had a leftover body from the og issues of the sedan including the windshield frame and glass( lucky to find that stuff). I’ll be pulling parts from the new tool roadster, the og 5 window kit and the stash. Will decide later if it will be fendered, highboy or channelled over the frame. Have to do some more mock up work and source an appropriate engine. but I’m in!
  23. With the uptop it reminds me of Matt Murray’s Delorean roadster project.
  24. @Dennis Lacy nice to see you return to this one! I’m still planning in my head my next build, moved across country and don’t have a proper work bench set up.
  25. Well I might have to sort through the boxes and see if I have enough to get a start, I know I have a body( leftover from my 4door build)! I know I have enough variations of engines/chassis to get one going. Still currently in an unpacked state after my last move.
