  1. Looking good so far.
  2. Yup, just like the Revell and AMT kits.
  3. Yeah, it's going to be a beast. I need to get my wheels & tires ordered.
  4. Thanks Elliot. As soon as my 36 Project is done I'll be on this one full time.
  5. Much appreciated Tim.
  6. Gotcha.
  7. Thank's Alan. Yup, pretty much made up my mind I'm going with the Hailbrand wheels and tires.
  8. I hear ya Bob.
  9. Thank's. I use Jay's wheels & tires on most of my builds and I may have found a set of Weld S77 Wheels with Hoosier Drag Slick or the Vintage Halibrand Gasser Drag Wheels & slicks. I'm just looking to build it as a kewl looking 41 Willy's drag car. Not looking for period correct.
  10. Thank's Bill. I'm not really worried about keeping it period correct. Just want to build a nice looking 41 Willy's Gasser.
  11. Thank's Greg. Haha...I do the same. I probably work quicker than I should. That's why I get in trouble on my builds. Yeah, I've learned to stay away from the edges and go slow on wet sanding. Adding a little extra 2K clear helps as wet sanding will take some of it off.
  12. I just started building the old 1963 version of the Revell Stone, Woods & Cook 1941 Willy's Gasser and the wheels and tires are just not the greatest. Looking for suggestions for a nice set of aftermarket wheels & tires. Thank's fellows.
  13. Thank's Bob. Going slow is key here for me especially since I tend to rush things sometimes. I really enjoyed the Revell Goodguys 41 Willy's I built but this one is no comparison.
  14. Thank's Roger. Yup, the molds are a little past worn out. The wheels and tires and decals are not in the best of shape so I've been looking for some aftermarket ones to replace them. This one is for sure going to be a challenge.
  15. Thank's Andrew. Well, it looks like I'll be able to get this one across the finish line in a respectable time. I really like this body style but I hate the two piece body. Wonder if the Monogram 36 kit is a two piece body?
  16. ???
  17. Looking good there James. Love those 32 Fords.
  18. Thanks. I think I'm going to need all the luck I can get on this one.
  19. Well I appreciate it DJ but the color has already been changed.
  20. I have just started this kit for a Group Build on Youtube. This is the old original 1963 kit and it's a little on the rough side. I'm going to ditch the kit engine and install an Ardun Flathead V8 engine from Texas 3D Customs. Not much has been done yet but I did remove the "Funky" hood hinge that was in the center of the hood and I've gotten the body cleaned up a little. I worked on the front suspension and it took some extra elbow grease. As bad as this kit seems so far I'm starting to get concerned on how bad the doors are going to fit.

Pretty kewl looking with the stacked blowers. That'll get those youngins to school pretty quick. Nice build man.
  22. Boy that looks sharp with those red line tires. Nice build.
  23. I airbrushed the Splash Paints 2K Urethane clear on the 36 about an hr ago. Very pleased with how it went down. Once wet sanded and polished it should look even better. I'll let this set for a couple days.
  24. Good looking Poncho John. I like these Big ole land yachts. These Big ole girls would just float down the street. Nice build man.
