I hear ya Ace. I saw someone paint a set of wheels with the Tamiya flat aluminum and they looked pretty good. I may experiment with that.

Not much progress. Did a little interior work, got the first coat of Tamiya Rubber Black on the running boards and the roof insert, and also got the headlights together and installed.

Thank's Gary. Thank's James. The 2001 & 2005 Release that I built were much much better kits than the 1963 version I'm current working on.

I was looking at the kit wheels & tires and I may end up using them. I have a set of other tires from Jay's and they are the same with as the Halibrands I was looking at. They are just to wide. To modify the floor pan to get the wheels & tires to look right would take a ton of work and wouldn't look right looking in the trunk. I'll think I'll just keep what I have. They will still look pretty decent.

That's a kewl kit Tim. I plan on building mine with the fat fenders. Good choice for the engine and wheels & tires.
