  1. I sanded & filled the injector pin mark on the bed side and got it all mounted to the chassis. I did a little mock-up with the 3D printed parts just to see if the parts are working together. Looks like I may have to do a little surgery on the wheel openings on the kit.
  2. The weather was pretty decent so I cleaned up the spray booth and got the top coat on. This is the Tamiya XF-17 Sea Blue but I'm not seeing any blue just yet. It's a Military color so it goes on flat. Once I hit it with the Tamiya X-22 clear it'll shine line a new penny and hopefully get a little blue to it.
  3. I got the body in primer yesterday. Might be shooting the top coat on today.
  4. Man....I bet that would be a scary ride along. Might have to have a couple long necks after that ride.?
  5. Thanks man. I think this is going to be an enjoyable build.
  6. After seeing the 1949 Ford truck called "Old Smoky" that ran the hill climb at Pikes Peak I decided to buy another 1950 Ford truck (Monogram Kit) and a body kit to try and build something similar. I am not trying to replicate Old Smoky, just something similar or maybe an updated version since Old Smoky crashed at Pikes Peak. The one pic shows the body kit installed on the 50 Ford truck. The chassis was warped pretty bad so I got that straightened out with my head gun. Filled in the injector pin marks on the inside the bed sides. Cleaned up the flash and getting ready to glue all the parts to the body.
  7. NIce build Michelle. Super kewl looking old 64 Ford Galaxie.
  8. I just love the body color. Just a Super kewl build. Very nicely done Ken. I'll be building mine later this summer.

  10. Great looking 37 pickup. Nicely done man.
  11. Oh yeah James. Nothing like a good looking little Hot Rod. Nice build.
  12. That's a tough looking drag car man. Looks like a car that an ole local boys built in his back yard.
  13. That two tone looks Super nice man. Very well detailed in the business end. Nice build.
  14. Nice looking Firebird Randy. I like the Italian Red. The white letter tires really pop of that red.

  16. I think I'm going with the XF-17 Sea Blue Carl. At least that was my decision yesterday ?
  17. The 66 Ford Fairlane is looking pretty nice John. The foil work on the script looks pretty sweet and I'm liking that blue.

  20. Yup. I tried this enamel paint once before and wasn't impressed with the results. It was probably just me.
  21. It is a nice color. I have a few cans of the Humbrol blue. I'll have to see if I have the Midnight Blue.
